Grandvalira

The Grandvalira ski resort faces this weekend with the 6 sectors open and at full capacity, has 90% of the ski lifts in operation and plans to condition 170 km of slopes. As a novelty, the El Tarter sector will open the emblematic Àliga slope. One of the stages of the 2019 World Cup Finals!

Activities for the whole family

World Snow Day: next Sunday, January 20, the Soldeu sector celebrates World Snow Day with a series of activities for children. From 9:30 a parallel will begin, a giant , a mini cross-ski as well as different workshops in the snow garden of the Ski School. At 11:30 a chocolate bar will be served in the Pla d'Espiolets.

Night sledges: as a novelty, Grandvalira proposes the activity of night sleds on the La Solana / Tubs track in the Pas de la Casa sector. At the foot of the La Solana chairlift, customers will find a tent with sleds available at a price of 10 euros (no time limit, until 8pm); Users may also have a reduced price of 5 euros the last hour (from 7pm to 8pm). The track, which also hosts night skiing , lights up every Thursday and Saturday from 5pm to 8pm, to host these two activities.

Activities for gourmets and après-skis

Gourmet Snow Club: One more season, the Grandvalira Mountain Club joins ski and gastronomy in a 3rd edition of the Gourmet Snow Club; an initiative for ski lovers more foodies with unique culinary experiences. BBB Ski and Snowboard Race Experience

The 5th edition of this popular competition is celebrated on the 19th and 20th ; a unique snow experience in which participants will discover all corners of the season mixing competitions with selfies .

A popular event designed for all types of skiers and snowboarders who are older than 6 years, a feature that makes it the ideal proposal to enjoy the snow with friends and family. During the appointment, in addition, participants will discover first-hand all corners of the Val d'Aran and Valls d'Àneu resort.

On Saturday 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the registered people will be able to carry out the 3 events of the event: boardercross , on the Es marmòtes de Beret track; Giant slalom (GS), at the Stadium de Baqueira and freeride , in the lower area of the Pala Gran in Bonaigua, Peülla. While it is true that participation is individual, the fun thing is to get together with other participants in the liaison sections or do it as a family.

The boardercross and GS tests will be scored according to the time taken and the freeride test according to the judges' criteria. The score will also be part of the fun, since participants can add extra points if selfies are made on the beacons located at different points of the resort: Parrec Blanhiblar, Cap de Baqueira, superior TQ Tuc de la Llança and Refugi San Miguel de Bonaigua Each image will add 25 points validating with the bracelet. The winners of each range (men and women) will receive a trophy.

At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, a raffle for gifts will take place in the village located at Baqueira 1500 and at 6:15 p.m. a torch descent will be made (prior registration).

Port Ainé

One more year the Port Ainé resort celebrates the World Snow Day with enthusiasm, this Sunday , January 20 , the Playful Park and Port Ainé awaits you to celebrate the whitest day of the year. A special celebration day for snow and mountain lovers, and nothing better than enjoying it with a fun outing with children's snowshoes for boys and girls between 5 and 14 years old.

The route will last approximately 1.5 hours, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., registration is free and you have to make a reservation by calling the Port Ainé Recreational Park or the Espot ticket offices.

Boí Taüll

Masella

This Saturday, January 19, to commemorate the World Snow Day , debuting skiers, both children and adults, can ski in Masella free at night (6.30 pm to 9.30 pm). So it will be an excellent opportunity for those who begin to make a first snow tasting and, in addition, they can learn about the Night Skiing experience.

The debutantes will have access to the green slopes of the Pla de Masella through the Pastors and Pastorets tapes. To pick up the free ski passes, the debutants must pass through the ticket office of the resort, located in the Pla de Masella, from 5:30 pm.

Cerler

The Benasque Valley resort , which opens 41 kilometres of tracks, will celebrate World Snow Day by inviting the little ones to enjoy it.
