The ski resort of La Massana has said goodbye this Monday, April 18, the winter season, fulfilling the objectives set and managing to increase income and occupation of the last winter seasons.

Thus, Vallnord–Pal Arinsal closes the season with 491,491 days of skiing and an increase in revenue of 2% as well as average spending per customer by 2%, compared to winter 2018-2019. At the same time, the restoration has achieved record results this season.

Vallnord-Pal Arinsal makes a very positive assessment of the current winter season. The resort leaves behind a season reaching its marked objectives and confirms its recovery trend . The number of ski days has reached 491,491, 1% more. EMAP increases its winter income by 2% compared to the 18-19 season, thanks also to an increase in average customer spending of 2%. Regarding occupancy, an increase of 1% has also been noted, being one of the best results of the last 4 seasons.

At the same time, it should be noted that Vallnord-Pal Arinsal has blocked the rates for day ski passes for the last 3 seasons and has carried out a cost control strategy in the last two years.

Opening from 12/3/2021 to 04/18/2022

Vallnord–Pal Arinsal makes a very positive assessment of the 2021-2022 season. A total of 136 days and optimal weather conditions for almost the entire season. The heavy snowfalls at the beginning of the season allowed reaching up to 150 cm of snow at high altitude. The average opening of the runways and facilities was 96% where, specifically, the Arinsal ski area was closed for 5 days due to wind and weather. Regarding the production of snow for cultivation, this season 21% less production and -27% less hours were required, thanks to the snowfall. In total, 299,151 m3 of snow and 1,494 hours of production are reached.

Services and restoration

In restoration, this year the resort has had a total of up to 15 gastronomic points available and has managed to exceed its set objectives, achieving a memory billing with an increase of 4%. The night experience in gastronomy at the resort becomes essential in Vallnord–Pal Arinsal. The resort has made a total of 64 nights with about 3,000 dinners. High mountain dinners have become an option for families and friends during the winter season and that also adds to the traditional offer of the season. As for children's and family activities, Vallnord–Pal Arinsal continues to commit to making improvements that allow a better reception for children and families . The alternative activities offered have been a good option for customers who did not ski, but wanted to enjoy the snow. The ski school that this year has achieved similar figures in the 2018-2019 season. As for Snowplus , the snow school for all people who want to learn to ski and enjoy nature continues to consolidate. Year after year, it manages to retain new skiers and this season, it has once again reached 1,000 children. In events, Vallnord–Pal Arinsal has hosted a large number of acts, competitions and animations to achieve a season with atmosphere. The most outstanding event, the ISMF Comapedrosa Andorra World Cup, was one of the sporting events with the most echo in the country and nearby countries. In the same way, the Women's Skimo , has been the solidarity race in favor of Autea, which managed to welcome more than 300 particitrousers. Other acts such as Santa Claus, animations with the country's mascots and competitions at the resort have allowed a return to normality.

The Ski&Bike ski pass continues to be a good bet for customers. Those who still enjoy the annual pass, will be able to enjoy it until October 2022. A ski pass that allows the resort's strategy to be consolidated by opening 365 days a year. In turn, the resort continues to want the little ones to continue enjoying the facilities and it does so by maintaining the validity of the school ski season ski pass for summer 2022. All children residing in the country (up to 15 years old) and holders of the 2021/2022 season ski pass issued by the Government, by Vallnord and by Vallnord-Pal Arinsal will be able to access the Arinsal and Palde ski lifts this summer 2022 for free.

COVID protocols at the resort

From the opening and until last April 1 , the resorts carried out various checks on customers at various points in their ski domains.
