1 Pic del Carroi technical data:

Holders of the Ski Pass of the Pal ski resort , within the Parish of La Massana, will be able to use the Pic del Carroi cable car free of charge. This new lift, which will start from Andorra la Vella, according to the project, would reach almost 2,334 meters in the first phase. For later, the connection from that point to the Pal slopes would be left.

The financing of the project is 100% private, promoted by the Austrian company Doppelmayr , although it is expected that in the future some company will take over the management of the facilities. Both the Comú d'Andorra la Vella and that of la Massana have assured that they will not contribute capital for the project, nor will they make any compensation in the event that a minimum billing is not reached.

What they are willing to do is pay for Pal (and therefore Vallnord - Pal Arinsal ) Ski Pass holders who use that lift, as it will be free to use for season ticket owners.

The contest rules , which have to be approved this week by the Consell de Comú d'Andorra , establishes a 45-year concession as long as the second phase of the project has been carried out, which goes from Pic del Carroi to the facilities ski resort of Pal . It will be then when the hotels in Andorra la Vella can really be sold as a foot of the slopes . In the event that the company finally does not execute this second section, the concession will be terminated after 35 years.

According to the tender specifications, at the arrival resort of the first phase, at Pic del Carroi, a platform with restaurant points with panoramic views , shops, as well as offices for outdoor activities companies can be set up. .
