1 Opening of La Capa in Arinsal
2 Activities for all tastes to complete the experience.
3 Music, après-ski and a new Bresh!
4 Enjoying good gastronomy among snowy landscapes.

After the snowfalls that have fallen in Andorra in recent weeks, Grandvalira Resorts face this weekend with the best snow conditions of the season. The terrain teams continue to do an excellent job to get the slopes ready and increase the available skiable area, which is currently more than 270 km between the three resorts.

Thus, Grandvalira has more than 180 skiable km, with 120 slopes open for all levels and snow thicknesses in the resort that reach up to 140 cm. Pal Arinsal has 100% of the slopes open and accumulated snow thicknesses of up to 115 cm, while Ordino Arcalís has 96% of the operating ski area and snow thicknesses of up to 170 cm.

In Grandvalira there are 180km of slopes to choose from.

Opening of La Capa in Arinsal

The weather forecast points to more precipitation in the coming days, so Grandvalira expects to continue to increase the kilometres available, while Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís will be able to continue to maintain an optimal state with the ski area at full capacity.

In this sense, the Arinsal ski area plans to open this Sunday La Capa, something particular, since it opens at times of very good snow conditions since it does not have any snow production system. This black slope starts at an altitude of over 2,560 meters, which allows the descent with the steepest slope of all Andorra, linking different routes, with more than 1,000 meters of slope to the base of the Les Marrades slope, located at an altitude of 1,550 meters.

Activities for all tastes to complete the experience.

The activities at Grandvalira Resorts are running at full capacity, so that the day can be completed with great experiences whether you are a skier or not.

Snow lovers can enjoy the First Snow service, which allows you to enjoy the slopes before the resorts open and be the first to slide down the fresh snow. Or, if at the end of the day you have not had enough, you can continue to enjoy skiing with the Pas de la Casa night slope, included in the ski pass.

The more adventurous can opt for a snowmobile ride in the Grau Roig ski area of Grandvalira and take advantage of the freshly snowed landscape currently offered by the resorts, or go mushing -sleds pulled by dogs- if you are looking for a glamorous Nordic experience, both in the Grau Roig ski area and in the El Tarter ski area.

Outings with Grandvalira Mountain Guides or Adventure Center guides, both in snowshoeing and ski mountaineering, are also a good opportunity to discover the environment of the resorts with surprising excursions. In this sense, it is worth remembering that all Grandvalira Resorts have a wide range of signposted circuits for both modalities: ski mountaineering and snowshoeing.

Families can find extra fun at the Mon(t) Magic Family Park in Canillo, where the Màgic Gliss, a long mountain toboggan run of more than half a kilometre, and the zip line, which reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h while crossing the valley, stand out. In Pal Arinsal, the classics that never fail continue, such as the toboggan run, the Kid's Zip and Big Zip zip lines or the Big Airbag.

In Ordino-Arcalís we find the greatest thicknesses with up to 170cm of snow.

Music, après-ski and a new Bresh!

The terraces of the resorts will offer, as usual, music and good atmosphere for the breaks between downhill and downhill.

The Cala Bassa Costa Rodona in Pas de la Casa will offer a new Brugal party where electronic instrumental musicians, in this case piano, are complemented by a DJ base to offer an Ibiza-style experience.

The IQOS Terrace in Soldeu has prepared for this weekend a live voice and saxophone duo experience with Nika & Yabloko for Saturday and an original performance with illustrator Joel Miñana, who will show off his renowned fast strokes to show reality. Both performances will be accompanied, of course, by DJ John Holt, who will be livening up every day of the week on the terrace.

The visit to Grandvalira has other mandatory stops such as the terrace of the In The Snow Veuve Clicquot (El Tarter), the Vermutería Petroni (Soldeu), the Refugi de Pessons (Grau Roig), or the San Miguel terrace (Pas de la Casa), among many others, where good atmosphere and good food are never lacking.

As for Pal Arinsal, the terraces of Niu, the Xiringuito or Pla de la Cot will also have DJs to liven up the moments of rest, while in Ordino Arcalís the terraces of La Coma, Planells or the Refugi de las Portelles, among others, stand out. And, if the weather is good, the Kokoi del Hortell Terrace will also have entertainment with a resident DJ on Saturdays from 3 pm to 5 pm.

L'Abarset, the temple of après-ski, starts on Friday with a new Bresh, "the most beautiful party in the world", where DJs make the place vibrate without pause linking success after success. On Saturday comes the Tenerife-born Héctor Couto, who will play the peculiar techno-house style that has made him famous.

Pal Arinsal will be 100% open

Enjoying good gastronomy among snowy landscapes.

Grandvalira Resorts has about 90 points of restoration with different proposals in which always highlights the great atmosphere and the commitment to good food.

Some of the classic restaurants that you cannot miss during your visit to Grandvalira are the Racó de Solanelles, which this year has renovated the terrace, the Llac de Pessons, the Arrocería Pi del Migdia, the Vodka Bar or the Wine & Meat by Jean Leon. This year the bulthaup Grau Roig has been inaugurated, a glass tube with a maximum capacity of 16 diners that forms one of the most different proposals in terms of restoration.

The three ski resorts of Grandvalira Resorts together have more than 270 km of slopes.

The restaurants Coll de la Botella and Pla de la Cot are also a gastronomic reference in Pal Arinsal, which are completed with the offer of Terroir, Niu and Xiringuito, while in Ordino Arcalís the restaurant par excellence, if you want to enjoy a good high altitude and local cuisine, is La Coma.

The vast majority of Grandvalira Resorts restaurants offer the option of dinner, an experience in the middle of the mountains that will allow you to enjoy the spectacular Andorran starry sky and that is necessary to book in advance.
