Although we are already in March, this is the first time in the whole season that there are so many slopes accumulating so much snow.
If we started the week with the ranking of European ski resorts that have more thicknesses at this time -up to almost five meters maximum-, today we have reviewed the snow reports of the resorts of the Peninsula and this is the result:
This is how Candanchú was on March 4.
In the first position is Candanchú, nothing more and nothing less than with almost three meters of snow (290 cm) at the high altitude and 140 cm at the base, being its minimums those that many others already wanted as maximums.
In second position is Gavarnie, in the French Hautes-Pyrénées, with 245 cm at the high altitude, beating by only 5 cm another French resort, Gourette, in the Pyrénées Atlantiques, which reports 240 cm.
What a great picture Gavarnie leaves us with!
Among the dozen with more snow and more than two meters are also Formigal (230 cm) and Astún (200 cm).
The next on the list is Baqueira Beret (175 cm) and the Andorran Ordino Arcalís is the only Andorran on the list, with 170 cm and occupying the seventh position.
