Andorra's ski resorts open in grand style this weekend

Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís continue to progressively expand the number of slopes open as the maintenance teams enable them. With the snowfalls of the last few days, those of today and those expected tomorrow, together with the low temperatures that allow the production of artificial snow, the forecasts for this weekend in the resorts of Andorra are positive, with good weather and a wide range of skiing. Among the three domains will add more than 200 km of slopes from Saturday, with snow thicknesses exceeding one meter in some ski areas.

Grandvalira, which started the season last Sunday, has been expanding the number of slopes available in recent days. Today it has about 80 kilometres of slopes open, with the skiable connection between all ski areas since yesterday. The forecast is that this weekend, a total of 132 kilometres of slopes are enabled in Grandvalira, which will continue to expand progressively, with thicknesses exceeding 100 centimetres of powder snow.

Pal Arinsal started the season on Monday, also with a progressive opening, and currently has 68% of the slopes open and 63% of the lifts operational, as well as thicknesses of up to 80 centimetres of powder snow. The forecast is to increase this figure in the coming days and, for the weekend, to reach almost 100% of slopes and facilities, including the cable car linking the two ski areas, which will be operational from tomorrow.

Ordino Arcalís, which also started the season on Monday and currently has thicknesses of up to 100 centimetres of powder snow, plans to enable virtually 100% of the slopes and lifts from this Saturday.

Ordino Arcalís, Pal Arinsal and Grandvalira have a wide range of alternative proposals to skiing to enjoy the snow in a different way, and they are also available. Thus, both the activities and the 87 points of restoration distributed by the three domains will be operational in almost all this weekend.

In this sense, Grandvalira offers activities such as snowmobiling (Grau Roig), mushing (El Tarter and Grau Roig), the Mon(t) Magic Family Park in Canillo with the zip line and the Màgic Gliss, as well as guided snowshoeing outings, among other proposals. As for gastronomy, the great proposals of Andorra's resorts are open again, highlighting the great novelty of the season in Grandvalira: the Catalan chef with Michelin star, Nandu Jubany, in the Brasseria Piolet and the Vodka Bar (Grau Roig). L'Abarset does not slow down

After a spectacular start to the season, with sold out at the first Brunch Electronik and the duo Mëstiza, the most outstanding venue in the Pyrenees does not slow down and prepares great parties to complete the first great ski weekend of the season.
