Bernat Ripoll wins the Nike The Chosen Series at Vallnord Snowparks

Vallnord Snowparks has hosted this Saturday the long-awaited Nike The Chosen Series in the snowpark of Arinsal. This has been the only stop of the Nike The Chosen to the Iberian Peninsula and Vallnord has shared poster with other stations in Germany, Switzerland, Austria or Italy. It has been a snowboard competition open to all amateur rides with the aim of finding the best.

A total of 15 participants, including 2 girls, were presented Saturday in the Arinsal sector of Vallnord with the aim of winning a pass to the grand final of Austria that will take place next April. In this grand finale, the winning riders will compete with the best Europreos amateurs and the pro of the Nike team.

Bernat Ripoll, despite being injured in the final round of the final, has won the MVP rider prize thanks to his spectacular tricks, a backside 900 and a backside switch 720, among others. The rider with more style has been Josep Falga, since he has made very varied and very fluid rotations, according to the judges.

Xavi Rodriguez, a young Andorran from Arinsal, just 16 years old, was the most creative rider of the day. The judges have very positively rated their great backside rodeo 540 nosegrab. In fact, this award has been the fruit of a great debate, since David Lopez-Mateos, rider of Vallnord Snorpark, has made a frontside 900 perfect melon.

The day of sun and very good snow have allowed the riders to show their best jumps in the kicker of 15 meters and 8 meters with lollipop that the team of ASP Snowparks has built for the occasion. The day of competition ended with a great party that took place in the Henri de Arinsal pub with the performance of DJ Krapulia.
