Grandvalira Resorts have everything ready to welcome Christmas with a wide range of Christmas and adventure proposals for the whole family, accompanied as usual by magical activities such as mushing or snowmobile rides, meals in the most iconic terraces of the resorts or dinners under the stars.

The most typical Christmas activities are always the main protagonists at this time in Grandvalira Resorts. Thus, this year there will be torchlight descents in Soldeu, on December 31 at 6 p.m. on the Ós slope , and in Pas de la Casa, on January 5 on the Directa slope . The latter will be followed by the arrival of the Three Wise Men, who will be welcomed with the traditional parade and a great fireworks display. The little skiers, from 6 to 12 years old, will also have their role to play and will be able to participate in the Soldeu downhill of little lights on January 3. Both Soldeu descents will feature the Demo Team, which will make the descent with a spectacular dress of LED lights.

Learning at Grandvalira Resorts this Christmas

The schools of the different resorts will be 100% operational during the holidays to offer visitors the wide range of learning programs they offer for all ages, levels and disciplines. Thus, anyone who wishes can learn or improve their technique not only in skiing and snowboarding, but also in Freestyle and Freeride.

For this purpose, all ski areas of the resorts have highly prepared areas for beginners , which currently enjoy good conditions for skiing. In the snow gardens, children can learn to snowboard with the Burton Riglet methodology, an innovative and progressive program that facilitates learning in a safe way.

Musical Christmas and après-ski

L'Abarset' s après-ski will be one of the hottest spots this Christmas, and will make the resort vibrate with the proposals it has prepared. This week, Marco Faraone, this Saturday, as well as Simply J, LAEET, Noe Osses, Patricia Mantovani and Edu_Art will be performing at the Grandvalira El Tarter ski area.

The intensity will be increasing and, to say goodbye to 2023, the après-ski temple has prepared a few days of high vibration that will begin on the 28th with Viktor Ollé. DJs Arodes and Andrea Oliva will be the architects of a very special performance that will feature the performance of Mr. Dripping on Friday 29, while Josh Wink is the big attraction on the 30th. The Andorran starry sky has no equal, and enjoying it during a dinner at an altitude of 2,000 meters is one of the great experiences that can be lived in the resorts of Grandvalira Resorts. Places like Coll de la Botella in Pal Arinsal offer Starlight dinners, where you can experience the beauty of the night through its unique rice dishes and stone-grilled meats. Some of the classic Grandvalira restaurants that you cannot miss during your visit are El Racó de Solanelles, which this year has renovated the terrace, the Lago de Pessons, the Arrosseria Pi del Migdia, the terrace In the Snow Veuve Clicquot, or the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon.

Beyond skiing

The different ski areas of the resorts have very attractive proposals beyond skiing, where, always with the mountain as the protagonist, visitors can enjoy a great experience.

Grandvalira Mountain Guides have prepared excursions that will allow visitors to get into the environment, either on snowshoes or ski mountaineering, or to learn ice climbing, one of the new activities available this year in Ordino Arcalís, weather permitting.

These activities are in addition to the attractions of the Mon(t) Magic Family Park in Canillo, such as the Màgic Gliss and the zip line; mushing in Grandvalira, which transports you to the magic of discovering the snowy forests with the only distraction of the sound of the sliding sled; the Snowtrikes, the ski simulator and the sledging slope in Pal Arinsal.
