Grandvalira reaches the first edition of the Red Bull Home Run

Comes the sun, great tracks temperature and the time of the season where skiing is enjoyed to the fullest. It's time for more carefree proposals in Grandvalira. After a weekend purely sporting career with the European Cup Alpine Skiing Men in Soldeu, the largest station in southern Europe will host on Saturday March 16, the first edition of the Red Bull Home Run.

To participate in the Red Bull Home Run only need a skill, desire to have a good time. The race will consist of a single drop in the Grau Roig sector. Participants, located at the starting line, must run 100 meters to your skis or snowboard. It will be fitted as soon as possible and down like a rocket towards the goal. The first crossover, gain, so easy and fun.

Awards will be given to the winners of each category (ski and board) and most original costume award. To participate you just have to be 16 years and the day pass. The race will be held at 17:00 pm and attendees will close the day with a fun track Llarga decrease in Grau Roig, a mid-level layout suitable for any snow lover.

Grandvalira scheduled for the weekend of 9 and 10 March, the opening of the ski area. With all the available connections will be a great weekend for skiing with snow thicknesses ranging from 140 inches in the lower elevations and the 250 in the higher altitude parts of the domain.

As for time, mild precipitation is expected as snow above 1500 meters on Saturday morning and very favorable mild temperatures throughout the weekend.
Music and activities for the weekend

This weekend there will be plenty of pace in Grandvalira. From 15:00 h to 18:30 h and skiers can enjoy the best electronic music in the Igloo Lounge Food Snow Hotel. What's better than a drink, good music and a descent to Grau Roig retraction to end a great day of skiing?

In addition, the station will also feature various electronic music sessions. The official DJ Max FM, Xavi Alfaro, will be in El Tarter clicking on the terrace of L'Abarset from 17:00 h to 20:00 h Saturday afternoon in the Après Ski Experience Maxima. Moreover, the same Saturday the Phils DJ DJ and a Needle Phraazz two sessions included in the tour Mountain Tour that will do in different European stations. These will take place in the restaurant KSB Coll Blanc located in Grandvalira-Pas de la Casa from 14:00 h to 17:00 h and from 22:00 h to 02:00 h. And for those who still are more like dancing, from 14:00 h to 16:00 h and on Sunday, the DJ and Saxo provide an electronic session in Grau Roig sector.

As for competitions, this weekend, played in the stadium Francesc Grau Roig Viladomat of the fifth annual Ski Race Team by the Ski Club of Pas de la Casa and the Andorran Ski Federation. The test will be held Saturday ski-cross at 10:00 pm and will be held on Sunday the giant slalom at the same time.

For its part, the track will host Esparver of Tarter Medineu race Saturday and Sunday two giant slalom in the men and women to the federal amateurs Soldeu GV Race Series.
Like every week, Grandvalira also offers a wide range of activities for children of the house, where you can enjoy next Saturday globoflexia activities, paintings, games and building snowmen, among other activities, in the restaurant El Forn Canillo from 12:00 h to 15:00 h.
