The Igloos of Grandvalira open their doors this weekend

The Iglú Bar of Pla de les Pedres and Coma III, which will have a restaurant, bar and lounge terrace, complete the Après Ski proposal of the domain

The snow and ice facility located in Grandvalira-Grau Roig will offer accommodation at the end of the month with the construction of two rooms

Andorra la Vella, January 13, 2012.- The Igloo located in Coma III-Xirixuca Building, Grandvalira-Grau Roig and Bar Iglo, located in the Pla de les Pedres area, are ready to receive the first customers tomorrow Saturday. The temporary architectures of snow and ice, the result of the intense work carried out over the past weeks by a technical team composed of 16 people, extend the varied offer of Après Ski of the snow field this season.

The Iglú de Coma III, known for the peculiar hotel service that offers for some seasons all those who want to sleep like true Eskimos, at the same time, finalizes all the preparations to have two rooms ready by the end of this month. To build this temporary building, 9,000 cubic meters of snow have accumulated and the interior decoration has inspired this season in Romanesque details, with sculptures that combine the use of ice and compacted snow.

The restaurant, with an area this year of 78 square meters, the bar, the lounge terrace with ambient music and the jacuzzi are the common areas that will be available from this weekend and that represent a different option to relax and rest while tasting a delicious fondue or a hot drink to recover your strength after a day of skiing.

Once the accommodation service is launched, Grandvalira will market a package that includes a one night stay at the Igloo with dinner included, breakfast at the boutique hotel Grau Roig and an adventure activity.

On the other hand, the Pla de les Pedres area will also have an Igloo Bar, as in previous seasons.
