Sierra Nevada faces the first weekend of April with more than 90 skiable kilometers, with slopes in all areas of the resort, the entire operating vertical drop (1,200 meters), up to two and a half meters thick, and an extensive sports and music program in what is one of the busiest and liveliest moments of the winter season 2023/24.

The Sun and Snow festival kicks off this Friday with its fifth edition, the most ambitious electronic music event held at the highest altitude in southern Europe, with four stages distributed from Pradollano to Borreguiles, where -until Sunday- 36 musical sessions will take place.
The sports agenda includes five major events. The largest participation will be the Ultra Sierra Nevada with more than 1,500 mountain runners registered in its four distances: Ultra, Trail, Marathon and Half Marathon. The main event, the 100-kilometer Ultra, starts this Friday (22.00h) in Granada; the first runners will arrive at Pradollano, after previously reaching an altitude of 3,000 meters, at midday on Saturday.
Another major event will be the National Veterans Trophy , which will attract to the Sierra Nevada ski resort the best Spanish skiers in the Masters range, and which this year will be held in the Sierra Nevada ski resort.This edition will be dedicated to the late former president of the FADI, Juan Luis Hernandez, who was one of the great promoters of this competition.
On the other hand, one of the best Spanish skiers of all time, Carolina Ruiz, will be in charge this Saturday of the Carolina Ruiz Challenge, considered one of the most important ski competitions for children on the national scene.
The Andalusian University Alpine Skiing Championship and the Trofeo Ruralito - Copa Andalucía de Esquí Alpino complete the sports agenda for the first weekend of April.
