Do not keep your skis too much, although you can find room in your closet for warmer clothes, as FGC is considering extending its season one more week, until April 7. The great amount of snow that there is after the intense snowfalls of the first two weeks of March, encourage to try to continue opening tracks.
Espot ski currently has up to 180 cm of snow.
This would join Baqueira Beret, which as scheduled since the beginning of the season, will close on April 7.
In any case, there are still weeks ahead and the month of March could be a roller coaster ride again. For this weekend mild temperatures are expected, but some models indicate that at the end of the month could come a new change of weather with some snowfall. That's why from FGC want to be cautious and go studying day by day the situation without ruling out anything in case the conditions are given.
At the moment all the ski resorts of the Lleida Pyrenees maintain very good thicknesses that border the two meters, and that in the case of Boí Taüll exceeds them widely.
- Boí Taüll: 120 to 240 cm
- Tavascan: 100 to 200 cm
- Baqueira Beret: 140 to 195 cm
- Espot: 120 to 180 cm
- Port Ainé: 130 to 180 cm
Port Ainé opens this weekend with a maximum snowfall of 180 cm
Regarding the ski resorts in the Girona Pyrenees, same situation: it will be studied case by case depending on the conditions on the slopes. In that part the thicknesses are not so generous. At most 80 cm in La Molina and Masella, while Vall de Nuria and Vallter go down to 70 and 60 cm respectively.
