The French ski resort is launched a week earlier than announced. Of course, it is not what we are used to seeing in Tignes at this time of the year, although the price of the Ski Pass will not be cheap either.
It seems that Tignes is opening ahead of schedule. This ski area was going to open together with Val d'Isère on November 25, however, we've just received confirmation that it scheduled to open this Friday November 18.
This is a fantastic way to hit the slopes ahead of planned! You'll be able to ski on reds slopes of the Glacier. We're talking about 450 metres of slopes.
To reach this area, the Perce-Neige funicular, the Panoramic chairlift and the Grande Motte cable car are launched. A whole display of means that allows us to understand the 32 euros that will be charged for the ski pass.
The opening has been thanks to recent snowfalls that have allowed the track service to enable some facilities. In any case, there is hope that this weekend the fans will get a pleasant surprise and the Double M or the Vanoise can also be opened. Maybe both.
This summer the Grande Motte de Tignes glacier had to close its operations for skiers after a heat wave did not let up. Since then, they have tried to start up again for October 5, but the situation in Europe has not improved in terms of temperatures, which is why it has been postponing its opening. First to November 1 and now to the 18th.
