While many dream of stretching out their towel on a sunny, secluded cove, for some of us, nostalgia for the Pyrenees gets the better of us. Pal-Arinsal is now loaded with new features for the summer season, including new restaurant services and more leisure activities available in its two outdoor sports areas: the Vallnord Mountain Park and the Vallnord Bike Park, open until 13 October.
Although you might prefer to get on your skis and glide over the snow, at these latitudes and at this time of the year, this can be a bit tricky. Although you always have the option of packing your suitcase and heading to Tignes or Les Alpes 2, there’s plenty of fun to be had at Pal-Arinsal to get your adrenaline pumping.
Most of the activities in Pal-Arinsal in summer can be found at the Mountain Park, in La Massana. There is a space designed for enjoying adventure sports with the family, such as a ride on the Big Zip zip line, archery, pony rides, karting, orienteering circuits, and disc golf (played with a frisbee), among many other activities.
If you’re planning a holiday to Andorra with the kids, the little ones can have a great time at the Pekepark, where slides, ball pits, and trampolines await them. They can also attend Snowplus, Pal-Arinsal’s summer school, where they’ll get to take part in lots of fun activities specially designed for kids.
Like to get behind the wheel? This is the place for you! Take part in organised excursions in a range of vehicles including off-road vehicles or buggies, both around the resort of Pal and the village of Tor, the last village in Catalonia before reaching Andorra. Although this village of 13 houses has received some bad press in recent decades, its magnificent mountain scenery is well worth a visit.
