Aramon is back with a new spectacular weekend

The Aramón Group faces the last weekend of February with an outstanding competitive agenda.Championships, competitions and events for young talents make Cerler, Formigal-Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares the stage for winter sports at a national level, in a context of exceptional snow conditions, with more than 270 skiable kilometres and practically all the ski areas open.

The Spanish Cup of SBX and SX in Formigal

The Valle de Tena ski resort will host the second phase of the Spanish Snowboardcross and Skicross Cup on Saturday and Sunday .

The event will feature skicross competition on Saturday and snowboardcross on Sunday, bringing together clubs from all over the peninsula and athletes from categories U11 to U21. The organization is in charge of the resort together with the Aragonese Federation of Winter Sports (FADI) and the RFEDI, with the collaboration of the Formigal Ski Club.

The circuit will be located in the area of Izas, a new location that has allowed the design of a more complete and technical route, with jumps and banked slopes that increase the sporting demands and the visual appeal of the event. The heats, disputed in heats of four riders, guarantee excitement until the final. In addition, the public will be able to watch the previous training sessions and enjoy musical entertainment in the finish line area.

Spanish Ski Mountaineering Championship in Panticosa

As a regular venue for ski mountaineering competitions, Panticosa once again positions itself as a reference point for ski mountaineering with the celebration of the Spanish Ski Mountaineering Championship throughout the weekend. The program includes two modalities:

Vertical, with a single ascent of approximately 700 metres of positive vertical drop to the Petrosos area;
Individual, the classic race, with three ascents and three descents in the Panticosa resort, totaling about 1,900 metres of positive vertical drop.
The event will be attended by leading national specialists, including Nil Cardona, older brother of Olympic champion Oriol Cardona, one of the international references of the discipline. In addition, athletes from the main technical centers of the country will participate, such as the Catalan and Andalusian, authentic quarry of the national ski mountaineering and origin of many of the names that today compete at the highest level.

Valdelinares and Javalambre: competition and leisure

In Valdelinares, the Giant Slalom Social Trophy will be held on the Central piste, a single-sleeve event open to particitrousers of all ages in a family environment. The day will culminate with the traditional Torchlight Descent down the Bambolía slope, with live music as part of the M Experience program, and will end with hot chocolate for particitrousers.

For its part, Javalambre will offer animation on sleds during Saturday, expanding the leisure offer at the resort.

More M Experience

The sports agenda is complemented by an extensive musical program in the different Aramón Group resorts.

In Marchica de Formigal the program will run throughout the week. On Wednesday will be the turn of Sweet Pyrenne, on Thursday Pure Marchica, on Friday will perform Gilca + Freyja and Saturday will be the highlight of the weekend: the performance of DJ Nano, a benchmark of electronic music in Spain. On Sunday, David Nal will close the week, and on Saturday, the M Big Room will feature Blin Blin. The offer is completed in other spaces of the ski resort as Cabaña Garmet Lounge, El Iglú, Terraza Boutique Sarrios and Cabaña Izas.

In Remáscaro, in Cerler, Hektor & Irieix will perform on Friday and Valcar - Fireball on Saturday, consolidating its proposal as a meeting point after the day on the slopes.

In Valdelinares, the program will include performances by Raúl Soto and Jano on Saturday and Tello on Sunday, coinciding with the Torchlight Descent and reinforcing the special character of the weekend.
