Masella enjoys a spectacular ski and snow month of March

Traditionally, it is from February onwards when Masella and Cerdanya in general have the best snowfalls. And this year has been no less, thanks to a succession of squalls that have left the slopes in the best conditions of the 2024-2025 ski season.

The last snowfalls, the continued cold of this last week and, above all, a benign weather, with sun and winter cold, have allowed skiers to enjoy the best weekend of the ski season in Masella, with excellent powder quality snow.

The Cerdanya resort has had an inertia of abundant snow since the beginning of March, with an easterly storm last weekend that left thicknesses of more than one meter of snow at high altitudes.

To the episode of heavy snowfall on March 8 and 9 must be added this week's snow, which has painted white all the ski resort's peaks, with a white landscape that has made everyone enjoy. The thicknesses on the slopes and the quality, has allowed to open the entire skiable domain, including areas so appreciated by skiers such as Tub, with the best black slopes of the domain, els Isards and els Coms de Das.

These optimal weather conditions have resulted in hotel occupancies, in the accommodation directly on the slopes, of 100% and a very remarkable number of skiers both Saturday and Sunday.

The current conditions of the resort, on the one hand, with significant snow thicknesses at high and medium altitudes and, on the other hand, the relevant snow production works of the last cold nights to reinforce all the bases and key points of the resort, make us foresee a spring with very good skiing conditions.

To continue encouraging skiers and snowboarders to continue to take advantage of these good snow conditions, a Masella Spring Season Pass was launched, which is amortized in only 5 days of skiing, and allows skiers to enjoy skiing until the end of the season.

Thicknesses: 40-140 cm of powder quality.
Access: Pla de Masella-1600 m, Coma Oriola-1950 m and La Pia-1700 m
Elevation gain: 100% of the skiable vertical drop open, from the top of La Tosa-2535 m to Pla de Masella-1600 m
