This catalan ski resort has annouced that it will stay open despite the recent travel restrictions that will take place from January 7 for 10 days.
Now that the Christmas holidays are over, the Baqueira Beret ski resort has confirmed that they have managed to control the number of skiers due to sale of ski passes online via travel agencies and their BaqueiraTICKET and the BaqueiraPASS service. During the month of January they will use this same system to ensure that skiing in their ski resort will remain safe.
The Baqueira, Bonaigua and Beret ski areas will be open until January 10 and from January 11 the Baqueira ski area will be the only one open. The reason is to continue providing service to residents in the town of Naut Aran or people who are already there, although clearly the influx forecasts are modest.
10 ski lifts open from January 11
10 ski lifts that will give access to 35 km of tracks and 33 slopes in the Baqueira area are scheduled to be open as of January 11 (subject to change due to the weather conditions). The open lifts will be TC Baqueira, TSD Mirador, TSD Cabana and in the 1800 beginners area the TQ de Rabadà and the two magic carpets.
