Peyragudes also extends its season to April 1

It is only one week more, but it allows to take advantage of the Spanish Easter. The intention of Peyragudes was to close its ski season on March 24, but it will extend until April 1 as just informed. The good snow conditions with almost 1.5 meters of snow at medium to high altitudes, as well as the 70 cm that remain at the base, encourage to continue opening the lifts a few more days.

The decision is taken after a very complicated season, only saved by the great work of the snow production staff, which has been able to maintain the offer during the Christmas week, as well as during the school holidays in February. Thanks to this, it has been possible to open an average of 50% of the slopes since December 16, until the snowfall at the end of February, when it was possible to increase the supply of slopes.

A situation that has allowed it to register 345,000 ski days, a figure similar to that of last year, when 398,000 days were sold. Probably, the opening at Easter will make up for these numbers and get closer to those of last season.

Luchon Superbagnères, Saint-Lary-Soulan and Ax-3-Domaines are also aiming to close on the first day of April.

Other N'PY resorts such as Grand Tourmalet, Gourette and La Pierre Saint Martin will also close on April 1, as scheduled. Piau Engaly will close the following day and Cauterets will not stop ski lifts until the 21st of the same month.

Luz Ardiden opts for a 'hybrid' decision. It will close its doors on Sunday, March 24 to reopen on Easter weekend, March 30, 31 and April 1.

The one that keeps its date is Luz-Ardiden, which will say goodbye on March 25. Therefore, if you have the No Souci Pyrénées card, you can take advantage of free skiing on the closing day. It is an option that you can do once in one of the resorts of your choice associated with this program.
