Vallnord - Pal Arinsal Ski Resort

We are making our first stop here as we know a lot of you are very fond of this ski area. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, then you should definitely read this!

# Ski Resort info

The Vallnord - Pal Arinsal Ski Resort is the second largest ski area in Andorra and is the closest one to the capital. The slopes are in the municipality of La Massana and they spread across a total of 63 km at an altitude between 1.550 and 2.560 metres.

This ski resort has a total of 47 slopes perfectly suited to all ski and snowboard levels.

There are a total of 31 lifts and they go up from La Massana and Arinsal as there are 2 ski areas in this resort: Pal and Arinsal - both interconnected by a cable car.

Is Vallnord Pal-Arinsal good for families?

This ski destination is ideal for a family ski holiday as 49% of the slopes are ideal for beginners and about 38% are for intermediates. If there are some “pros” in the family, you will also find some great black runs to have some fun on ;)

Vallnord - Pal Arinsal also offers a skipass called Ski&Nature, which has a vality of 10 months so you can practice snowshoeing, hiking in the snow and cross-country skiing.

Is Vallnord - Pal Arinsal snow sure?

Some of you are already asking about booking a pre-Christmas ski holiday and are worried about the snow conditions. If you book a ski holiday to this ski area, know that it is one of the most snow sure locations in Andorra as it has some of the highest runs. There are also more than 350 snow guns to keep the slopes well groomed and covered.

To make things even easier for you, we offer a snow guarantee in most hotels and apartments in Andorra so, if you’re skiing any time between November 13 and December 23rd and the Vallnord - Pal Arinsal confirms that they have postponed their opening dates, we can offer you a cancellation or a change of dates for free ;)

# Things to do for non-skiers

If you want to do other things besides skiing, this ski resort has loads of activities to offer.

Snow Activities for children

Vallnord - Pal Arinsal offers the little ones snow activities so that they can have fun like never before. One of the favourite activities for the little ones is the sled park, located in an exclusive area where the little ones can enjoy descents alone, with friends and even with their parents!

Likewise, other activities such as the rope park, the kids zipline, the motorcycle circuit or the orientation circuits, are some of the activities available in Vallnord - Pal Arinsal.

Snow activities for adults

Designed for all of those who want to complete their ski day with an activity or want ot try something different besides skiing, the ski resort offers the following activities: buggies, the big zip line or the Snowtrike, are some of the activities that most like.

Have you ever heard of the Caldea Spa Centre? It’s one of the largest spas in Europe and a great place for both adults and children. It’s located in Andorra La Vella and there’s a main area for both adults and kids of 5 years and over. Children aged 3 and 4 can stay in the Likids area with a certified monitor. If the adults are looking for some “chill” time, there’s an “only adults” area called Innúu Wellness Attitude. You will find the tickets on step 2 of our booking process.

# Après-ski in Arinsal

Polar Bar

Located at an altitude of 1.900 metres and with great views of the slopes. It may not be where you will end the day but it’s the ideal place to take a pit stop and have a drink and snack before heading back to the slopes.

El Cabin

This place is fairly new and is open from 7.30 am to 1 am, serving breakfast, snack and après-ski drinks. Decorated to look like a cabin, it’s a great place to visit at the end of the day.

Arinsal is a great area to enjoy a couple of drinks after a day of skiing and snowboarding. This area is known for its electric atmosphere.

Derby Irish Pub

One of the most popular pubs in Andorra for its wide selection of Irish drinks and hosting Quiz night every Tuesday and open mike night on Thursday. There’s also live music on most nights and have live sports on TV.

Cisco’s

Right opposite the gondola, it’s a mexican bar where kids have free ice-cream and nacho’s during the après-ski session. They have Sky Sports and ESPN and also Wii games. They organise different theme events every week.

If you’re thinking of taking a plane, we can include the transfer service from either Barcelona El Prat or Toulouse Blagnac Airports. If you want to rent a car directly from the airport, we can also provide this service from Barcelona.

One more thing, this ski resort has a Freebus service that runs from Andorra La Vella to La Massana and also from La Massana to Arinsal. This means that you can take it for free! All you need to do is show your Vallnord Pal-Arinsal ski pass to the bus driver.
