Can’t forget to mention that Tignes ski resort has a cool story behind it, the original village has been under the Lac du Chevril lake since 1952, which was when a reservoir was built on the Isère river. In 1957 the town that we know today was built, located at 2,100 m, cool right?

On the other hand, this magnificent French ski resort has a total of 156 ski slopes spread all over its 300 km and linked by 88 lifts. The king of winter sports offers all kinds of slopes for different levels, from very wide and simple green slopes to red and black ones that make you feel the adrenaline to the maximum version.

Les 2 Alpes

Did you know that its name does not refer to there being two mountains? If not to the fact of including 2 towns: Venosc and Mont-de-Lans. Les Deux Alpes is located on the Leucem glacier and is the second oldest ski resort in the country (after Chamonix); It has 96 ski slopes for you to enjoy.

So, why should I go skiing in Les 2 Alpes? In the same town you will find ski lifts that make up an excellent connection of tracks for beginners. There’s several points in town that take you to the main skiing area. The first area with less unevenness is located just above the town where you’ll find the black slopes. A little further up you will access the Combe de Thuit ski area with long and easier slopes for beginners (mostly blue and red)

The third and smallest ski resort is the Lac Noir, if you are an intermediate skier, here you can enjoy the magnificent slopes since there are 600 m of unevenness and unsurpassed snow conditions. Finally, the last ski area is the Mont-de-Lans glacier with easy slopes ideal for those who are learning.

Val Thorens

The Val Thorens ski resort is located in the Belleville valley, a beautiful valley in the Tarentaise area of the French Alps. This ski resort is part of the great ski area of the 3 Valleys (Les 3 Vallées) and has many reasons why you have to visit it. Let us tell you about them!

Snow: In Val Thorens the snow is assured, the base of the station is at 2,300 m and belongs to the mountain chain with the most snow in France.

Slopes: There’s more than 130 skiable km, 80 in total with the following distribution; 41 blue, 31 red and 8 black, 70 of them with snow cannons.
Most of them are very wide, well trodden and marked. The ski area we like the most is Orelle, although the Folie Douce ski area is also worth mentioning.

Ski lifts: They are all of the latest generation, detachable from 4 to 8 seats and with 1 or 2 entrances.

Off-piste: This Ski resort has a huge amount of off-piste in all sectors. Tip: if it hasn't snowed for days, look for the north face, the snow is very good there.

Freestyle: It is located in the La Plateau ski area, has two ski lifts, one for an alpine training track and the other for park use.
