Baqueira Beret will open at least 120 km this Christmas

The ski and snowboard resort of Baqueira Beret continues to work the slopes "with the utmost care", as reported by the company in a statement, which announced the opening, if conditions permit, up to 120 km of slopes for the next pre-Christmas weekend.In fact, they will continue to operate and with the possibility of new extensions during the Christmas holidays, which with New Year's Eve and Christmas Day will be extended until January 7.

After the snowfalls of Wednesday, the accumulated thicknesses are up to 50 cm and it is expected to open about 85 traces and 35 lifts of 36 in total, in the areas of Baqueira, Beret, Bonaigua and Baciver. To highlight the opening of the Tuc de la Llança ski lifts in the Bonaigua area and the Saumet ski lift in the Baciver area.

The snowfalls have left up to half a meter on the slopes.

Christmas in the resort

Baqueira Beret presents a traditional Christmas with the characteristic that both Santa Claus, New Year's Eve or the Three Kings have as protagonists some of the most popular areas of the station offering a unique experience to families who are spending the holidays in the Val d'Aran or Valls d'Àneu.

From December 24 to January 7, the winter resort of the Lleida Pyrenees has prepared a special program to celebrate Christmas. The Christmas spirit will be experienced with the arrival of Santa Claus, who will tour the resort and head from Beret to Baqueira 1800 in a sled pulled by dogs. To close the year, the San Silvestre Popular Race in Bossòst will offer a challenging route of 6 km.

The beginning of the new year in Baqueira Beret will be marked by a tradition, the classical music concert in the Church of Baqueira with the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The visit of the Three W ise Men will not miss their passage through the snow. The cavalcade will arrive in snowmobiles from 1800 to Baqueira 1500. Baqueira Beret is preparing to live a holiday full of excitement and special events.
