Since this season, the snow gardens of Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo of Grandvalira have expanded their educational offer with a new educational equipment , consisting of educational games for children from 2 to 6 years old that reflect the natural wealth and the snowy environment of Grandvalira.
Seven educational games have been designed to encourage children's contact with the natural environment.
The project, led by Grandvalira' s Soldeu-El Tarter Mountain Services and with the collaboration of the Andorran company Made in Grid and the pedagogue Íngrid Roman, aims to transform the children's stay in the kindergartens into an integrating experience with the environment, following a sustainable approach.
At the same time, it seeks topromote knowledge of snow sports and the natural environment of these three ski areas among the youngest children. Seven educational games have been created, such as a puzzle with images of Andorra's native fauna, a ski-themed memory game, dominoes and parcheesi set in winter, a puzzle with geometric, numerical and snowflake shapes, a scrabble game to form words, and a game to learn how to recycle.
The games have been made using environmentally friendly materials.
The project has used environmentally friendly materials such as EU sustainably managed wood, methacrylate made from recycled and recyclable equipments, and storage bags made from recycled cotton. This product is exclusive to Grandvalira and is available only to children attending the aforementioned kindergartens.
With the implementation of this new project, Grandvalira reaffirms its social and educational commitment to kindergartens. The aim is to promote children's respect and appreciation for the natural environment of Andorra.
