11 days remain for the arrival of the great Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals. Moreover, from March 28th to the 30th of March and from April 4th to April 6th, the Grandvalira Total Fight returns to El Tarter Snowpark. Don't forget that the Lauched Kilometre World Cup Finals, will be from the 10th to the 13th of April at the Riberal track.
Another event that completes the winter sports competition during this second period of the season is the Grandvalira Snowbike, the first event in the calendar, that will take place on the 9th and 10th of March in Grau Roig. The second edition of this unique test, which is done with conventional or electric mountain bikes on snow with wide tires (plus or fat), will have a 22 km course with an approximate vertical drop of 700 metres and will have two modalities: Bike and E-Bike in both male and female categories. On Saturday, will take place the official training in a part of the circuit and Sunday the races will start at 9.30.
12 days after the arrival of the great white circus, the largest resort in southern Europe is preparing to host the 25 best runners in the world of each discipline in the Finals of the 2019 World Cup Andorra. From the 11th to the 17th of March, the Àliga slope in El Tarter and the Avet sector in Soldeu will be the centre of alpine skiing. The technical team is preparing the surface of the two routes as well as the installation work of the protection networks and the stands.
Another highlight of the season will be the Grandvalira Total Fight Freestyle Masters, the event celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and returns to the double weekend format. From the 28th to the 30th of March the snowboard modality will take place and from April 4th to April 6th it will be the turn of the freeski. The best freestyle riders will fight for the best style at El Tarter Snowpark.
In the final section of the season, the Riberal track of the Grau Roig sector in Grandvalira will become the centre of winter sports with the participation of the fastest runners in the world who will fight for the title at the Launched Kilometre World Cup Finals from April 10 to 13.
Grandvalira: 206km available during Carnival
Grandvalira faces the days of Carnival with the opening of 206 skiable kilometres with 124 operational tracks and practically all lifts in operation. The 6 sectors are open and connected by tracks and the snow level goes from 70 to 140 cm. As far as meteorological conditions are concerned, the sun predominates over the weekend and cold nights allow to work and maintain the condition of the slopes in optimum conditions.
The three snowparks of Grandvalira are 100% as well as the adventure activities are fully operational. On the other hand, the Ski and Snowboard Schools organise a series of animations, face painting costumes and activities related to Carnival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, March 2, the Park and Sound will be held at Sunset Park Peretol by Henrik Harlaut, an event that combines freestyle, music and volleyball on snow.
