Baqueira maintains more than 100km planned for the weekend

With more than 100 km of slopes scheduled to open for the weekend of February 3 and 4 and thicknesses between 75 and 105 cm of hard-spring snow, the resort of Val d'Aran and Valls d'Àneu continues to offer the largest skiing offer in our country.

In addition, the weekend of February 3 and 4 has the incentive of the celebration of the Marxa Beret with almost a thousand particitrousers enjoying cross-country skiing between Pla de Beret and Orri.

In addition, the ski resort of Baqueira Beret will open its 24 catering establishments, five of them are themed restaurants scattered on the slopes between the different areas of the ski area.

-Solidarity race open alpine skiing in Beret

3 and 4 February - 44th edition of the Marxa Beret

Popular cross-country ski race in classic technique and at the same time FIS test in its two higher distances, will be held on Sunday February 4 in the Pla de Beret and Orri. Due to the weather conditions, the organization has adapted the routes, usually 10, 21 and 42 km, to the ideal lengths according to the snow available in the area.

In order to ensure safety and the smooth running of the competition, the distances of the routes will be as follows:

-Mini Marxa Beret (5km): circuit in the Pla de Beret.
-10 km: the same circuit as in recent years (Pla de Beret + Zona Òrri).
-21 km: as it is not possible to go down to Montgarri, the route has been adapted to the Pla de Beret, creating a 13.5 km course + a 5 km loop around the circuit.
-42 km: The main event becomes 32 km with two laps of the 13.5 km circuit and one lap of the 5 km circuit being valid for the FIS Long Distance circuit.

This cross-country skiing festival will start in Beret on Saturday February 3 with the Spanish Championship of "Sprint" Salomon of the RFEDI calendar and also FIS test, followed by the expected 44th edition of the Marxa Beret the next day.
