The Baqueira Beret ski resort has already communicated the decision to close its slopes through social media. The 2019/20 season has ended, with Friday March 13 being the last day to ski in that season .

After the meeting with the Conselh Generau d'Aran and the health authorities, Baqueira Beret announces the closure of the Station on Friday the 13th, ending the 2019-2020 season, to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and putting public health ahead of any other consideration.
This exceptional measure is in line with the recommendations made by the Ministry of Health of the Government of Spain and also by the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya to avoid displacement and crowds at a time when the disease, according to official sources, is expanding in Spain. For this reason, exceptional measures must be applied to protect the health of customers, workers and the general population.
