From 24 to 31 December, Grandvalira received 5% more visits than last season

Grandvalira has closed the week of Christmas holidays with large crowds to their facilities. From 24 to December 31 visited the Andorran domain 5% more people than last year, which certifies a great start to the season, as we noted in the last Purisima.

In these last days of 2013 has also confirmed the growth of the main source markets of customers Grandvalira. Thus, among the Spanish visitors who received the Andorran resort, especially highlights from Catalonia, Madrid and Valencia. As for users in other countries, continues the upward trend in the UK and Russia. Also deserves special mention good behavior of the French market, maintaining its growth rate after the promotional effort in the neighboring country during this and last season.

Among the keys to this large number of people to Grandvalira between Christmas and New Year of 2013 we find the good weather conditions that have been enjoying the snow lovers who have visited the station. The conditions of this fantastic start to the season have allowed almost 100% open domain, with 110 tracks and a total of 200 kilometers of pistes. Kings Bridge

On this weekend of 4 and 5 January, which coincides with the feast of Kings on Monday 6th, Grandvalira keep almost all their ski area available to fans of winter sports. The snow depth is between 90 and 170 centimeters. In addition, light snowfall in the coming days that will strengthen the quality and quantity of accumulated snow in the six sectors of the station are expected.

On the Day of Kings, Grandvalira also host several special activities. On Sunday, January 5, in Pas de la Casa, the little ones can enjoy with the Magi, who will reach the station from 18:00. That same day the now traditional torchlight descent will also be held in the same sector.

As usual, Grandvalira customers can also enjoy the best après ski in the Nordic Terrace Lounge Gall de Bosc and L'Abarset. In the first place, on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th will be live music from 12:00, while in the second concerts and DJ's liven up the evenings from 17:00. Each day there will be a DJ on the terrace of Club Cala Bassa beach, so the good atmosphere and the fun are guaranteed.

Moreover, this first week of 2014 has been in operation Land Rover circuit, located in the Pla d'Espiolets in Soldeu sector. In this school of driving on snow and ice users can perfect their mastery of the hand at the wheel of specialized instructors. All courses and activities are conducted in 4x4 vehicles for the British brand and always to the highest security protocols.
