The ski resorts of Teruel are also working on the improvement of their artificial snow.

At the end of last April, the Government of Aragón set aside 78 million euros for the modernization of the ski resorts of Huesca and Teruel, focusing mainly on artificial snow production systems. The initiative can be extended to the semi-public winter resorts under the Aramón brand, as well as to the private resorts of Astún and Candanchú.

The first to move were the two ski resorts in Valle de Tena. There they have already started work to reinforce the Cuartalé (red) and Los Asnos (blue) slopes located in the upper area of Panticosa, as well as La Carbonera in the Anayer ski area of Formigal for medium level skiers. Now they depend on INAGA to be able to see these projects approved.

The two ski resorts of Teruel also seem to be ahead of schedule. As published in the Heraldo de Aragón, the Official Gazette of Aragón (BOA) has already published the call for proposals valued at 1.5 million euros to reinforce the artificial snow system in Javalambre and Valdelinares. Also the Nordic center of La Muela San Juan owned by the City Council of Griegos.

The contribution will be made through the Instituto Aragonés de Fomento (IAF) which will take advantage of funds left over from the Program Fondo de Inversiones de Teruel - FITE 2021 destined to the economic development of this province.

Although the focus is on the modernization of the artificial snow systems, other facilities or machinery can also be included, such as improvements in buildings, renovation of ski lifts, car park lots or accommodation for workers.

The aid will cover all the works that have been executed until December 2024.
