We are only a few days away from the month of March, and some of you may already be picturing yourselves on the beach... However, some of us are still thinking of making the most of the last months of powder!

Did you know that March is one of the best months to go skiing? If we look back and compare data with past seasons, the months with more snow are February and especially March!

Check out all the advantages of skiing in March below!

1- Less queues: the influx of skiers is less.

2- Best prices: as it's low season, the rates are lower as well!

3- Snow forecast: This is traditionally the month of the year with the most snow at the ski resorts.

4- More daylight hours: as the day seems to be longer, you feel like you really make the most of the ski resort.

As you can see, there are many reasons why you should go skiing in March. There's more!

Let's compare data, is there usually snow in March?

As we have mentioned above ... if we compare snow thickness data with the past seasons the months with more snow are February and March . How do we know this?

On our website you can check snow thicknesses per year of each season. All you need to do is head to a ski resort on our site and you'll find a full description. For example, if you click on Grandvalira, you can head to " see graph of the progress" and check the snowpack of recent months and compare it with other years.

As you can see, there is a pattern: in December the snowfall is scarce, but from January, things start to look better and the best snow conditions are usually in March. It is the ideal month to take advantage of the last days of the ski season and don't forget about skiing in Easter!

All the information you need at your fingertips: slope status, webcams, skiable kms rankings, thicknesses ... and much more!

If you're still not sure about skiing in March, you can head to our site and check the updated status of all the ski resorts, where you can check the snow conditions of your favourite ski resorts.

You will also find the TOP open ski resorts and sort them by slope colour.

If you need help deciding where to go skiing, you can read our customers' reviews

Once you have checked the snow conditions as well as  the weather forescast, you will only have to choose the ski resort that you like the most. If you don't know where to go, you should definitely read our customers' reviews. There you will find a lot of super useful and first-hand information about the slopes, restaurants, snowparks , lift-chairs, Wi-Fi ...

We receive comments every day and make sure to post them as soon as we receive them so you get to read the latest information and updates.  Here are some examples of the most recent reviews on Grandvalira and Pal Arinsal :

Snow forecast?

Surely after reading this you are thinking: great, but will it snow again? Yes, yes, yes, our meteo team from Taiko Mateorologia , led by Alfred Rodríguez Picó , have told us that although the month of February has been quite calm and hot, in March we will have lower temperatures and some snowfall.

If you want to be the first to know, stay tuned to our social media!

Also, there are other ski resorts with much more snow!

In the event that there is not all the snow you would like in the Spanish or Andorran ski resorts you can always travel to the French Pyrenees or the French Alps. Currently, the ski resort with more thickness is the Les Arcs resort with 330 cm of snow. Here are some pictures to see how this season looks with so much snow:

In addition, this season, and after many efforts from our Product department, we have added new ski resorts . Most of them located in the French Pyrenees and the Alps. With them you can enjoy the snow to another level, in addition to knowing new destinations and ways to enjoy your favourite sport!

If after reading all this you have decided to make a ski getaway in March, you just have to go to our search engine. There you will have to select the ski resort that you like the most, select the dates on which you would like to travel and indicate the number of travellers. Come on! What are you waiting for?
