Sierra Nevada opens almost all of its domain

The ski resort of Sierra Nevada has reached today the largest area of the season with 105 km of skiing (almost the entire domain) with powder snow in all areas and thicknesses that exceed two meters on the slopes of the Borreguiles and River.

The snow that accompanied the windstorm of last weekend has greatly improved the situation in Sierra Nevada, which thus reaches one of the most important months of the winter calendar in the best snow moment of the season .

The resort has had 20 operational lifts since yesterday, once the ice blocks formed by the storms have been eliminated and after replacing 16 pulleys in the three most affected mechanical means, the builders of the Sulayr snowpark have rebuilt the jumps of the sectors 1 and 3, and relocated the modules in the rest of the freestyle installation of the Loma de Dílar.

In addition, the mountain ski itinerary, parallel to the El Águila slope but upstream, has opened for the first time to the public this season.

The night skiing , suspended last Saturday by the closing of the resort due to the strong wind, returns this Thursday on the slope of El Río and Saturday on the slopes Rio and Maribel.
