Peyragudes opens its ski season this Saturday, December 16

The ski season in Peyragudes starts this coming Saturday, December 16, with 50% of its ski area open. The new precipitations predicted for these hours, and a booking rate of more than 75% occupancy in the accommodations of the Louron Valley allows to augur a good Christmas hotel offer.

New this year, and following Peyragudes' efforts to keep the number of vehicles on the road to a minimum, a 92-people electric bus, the first of its kind in the Pyrenees, is being launched this year. From now on, everyone staying in the Balestas ski area and those arriving by car on the Peyresourde side will use free electric shuttles to reach the slopes.

Another new feature for this winter is the installation of 60 state-of-the-art snowmaking cannons that are even more energy and water efficient. These devices come to reinforce the skiable connections between the 3 ski areas.
