Last season, the Pal Arinsal ski resort opened what was one of the most important investments of recent years: the new service building in the Coll de la Botella sector. In a strategic area located between the Vallnord - Pal and Vallnord - Arinsal sectors we now find an important new access point to the slopes. The total cost of this construction was 3.4 million euros.
In the 1,100 m2 that make up the Coll de la Botella building we find, in addition to new car park lots and ski storage, a large terrace, and three new restaurants: Bistro, Grill and Chiringuito . Among the three places, a range of proposals is offered for all budgets and demands, from the most exquisite menu, through the full menu or fast food to continue as soon as possible with the ski day. But it is in the first of them, the Bistro, where we find the most select cuisine of the resort for the most demanding customers.
That the gastronomic theme has become an important piece of Vallnord - Pal Arinsal, we find that an important investment was also made in the expansion of the terrace of the Pla de la Cot, thus doubling one of the favorite points of the skiers and snowboarders from the resort to eat. The objective, according to Oscar Julián, Head of the Restoration Department of the Andorran resort, is that the restoration has its own identity
"to the point that it is one of the reasons to come to our resort. We want the customer to choose Vallnord-Pal Arinsal because he can also eat very well, and not to stay for the simple fact that there is a place with tables and chairs"
Its sister resort and connected by the cable car that we find next to the Coll de la Botella, the Vallnord - Arinsal sector, also opened a new restaurant: Party, a place that diversifies the gastronomic offer of the resort. In addition, Xalet Igloo offers theme dinners since last year, arriving previously with a retrack vehicle up to 2,300 meters high where it is located, which guarantees silence and the possibility of seeing a good star show if the weather accompanies the night. And all for a price that is only around 50 euros, round trip included, as Oscar Julian remembers,
“We pick up customers at 7pm in a treadmill machine with a passenger cabin, and take them on a 30-minute trip to Xalet Igloo. There an exclusive dinner awaits for them and the whole night show of the starry sky without any light pollution, at more than 2,300 meters high, which makes the experience unique "
In the Xalet Igloo we also find the famous Angus hamburgers of 250 gr that have been made so famous in Pal-Arinsal or the foie burger, all of them with top quality products and a careful preparation that includes caramelized onion and an excellent presentation.
