More than 500 skiers participate in the downhill swimwear of Sierra Nevada

More than half a thousand skiers and snowboarders have participated today in the VII Bajada in Bañador, the central act of the Spring program at the ski resort of Sierra Nevada with which the winter season in Granada announces the last week of activity of the season 2018/19, which concludes next Sunday, May 5 .

The more than 500 skiers in swimsuits represent a record of participation in the event, an influx figure that has been favored by the good snow conditions (70 skiable kilometres) and the weather, with sun and pleasant temperature (10 degrees ) .

The descent in a swimsuit took place on the Beginners II track , in the Borreguiles area, on one of the busiest days of spring skiers.

During the day, skiers could participate in a contest on social networks to the most original photographs that, after the official descent, were made on the slope of El Mar along with the marine figures that mark that slope.

This Sunday also celebrated the Retro Bajada , organized by the resort and the Rikitaum telemarketa rock, in which the participants descended in period costumes (early twentieth century) or eighties aesthetics.

At the end of the retro descent, the Rikitaum club gave the Grenadian Association against Cancer the collection of solidarity actions carried out at the resort throughout the season.
