The combination of meticulous engineering, extreme testing with international experts and rigorous feedback from professionals has resulted in the CRUX ski collection, which marks the return of HEAD's backcountry skis. These skis offer a light and agile ascent and an adrenaline-filled descent.

The new CRUX collection introduces an innovative construction that challenges the conventional ski approach. The design, based on LYT TECH technology, has been optimized to minimize weight and improve performance. Technical specifications include a Full Triaxial carbon layer, which increases torsional stiffness, and a Snow Free coating, instead of the traditional top sheet, to reduce weight and prevent snow accumulation on the ski surface.

The collection consists, on the one hand, of the most accessible line of CRUX skis, for those who are new to ski mountaineering, and on the other hand, the top of the range of the collection, the CRUX PRO skis. Within each range, skiers can choose between different models, according to their preference, level and design.

The launch of the new CRUX line is accompanied by the latest in Tyrolia bindings. With a lightweight design of only 325 grams per boot, the skier will notice a supreme lightness on the ascent and high performance on the descent. This binding, dubbed ALMONTE promises a full experience thanks to the intuitive and easy switch from hike-to-ski mode. In addition to the binding, the collection was crying out for boots and so the HEAD team has developed together with an international network of mountain guides an unprecedented range of boots: CRUX PRO, CRUX Touring and CRUX Women Touring.
