Grandvalira, the southern Europe's largest skiable area, will host for the third time FJWC (Freeride Junior World Championship), the most prestigious freeride championship at the moment. On 5th February 2017, more than 60 riders are coming from more than 15 countries aged between 15 and 18 years old, will compete in Grandvalira to seize a place on the podium.
Skiers and junior snowboarders have earned their participation in this championship thanks to the talent demonstrated in past events. Some of the young hopefuls who will meet in Grandvalira are the young skier Ross Tester (US) for 17 years last year reached a very good score in the FJWC and returning this year to the fifth edition.
And for the first time in the championship, the Olympic medalist of the Winter Games Finn Bilous (NZL) will participate, and who has broken all records in all appointments in the Tour of Freeride New Zealand Junior this summer and it definitely will not disappoint all the fans gathered at Grandvalira.
Jake Terry (UK) will also participate. He is a rider who uses the mountain to practice wake and snowboarding, making several podiums along the FJT 2016. "I think that this season FJWC is one of the best as it offers new events, new people and new experiences, I have really wanted to start the tour again," Jake said.
Freeride elite already proved his talent and high level last season and he will not disappoint this year.
