Baqueira Beret has expanded its ski area up to 156 kilometers

The ski resort of Baqueira Beret has announced some of the novelties that it will carry out for the next ski and snowboard season 2016 - 17 . Do you want to meet them? Do not miss them below!

Up to 156 km skiable

The remodeling of slopes carried out last summer adds 1 km more to the map of marked slopes for a total of 151 km plus 5 km of mountain routes. In addition, the layout of Audi Ski Kronos, which was so successful last winter, has been added to the total calculation. With this extension, Baqueira Beret has 104 beacon tracks without forgetting the extensive domain of freeride in a ski area of 2,166 ha. which represents a very attractive offer to enjoy the high mountain of the Val d'Aran and Valls d'Aneu.

Preparation and maintenance of tracks

Every morning throughout the season the slopes of the Baqueira Beret ski resort must be impeccable. To achieve this, there is a park with 15 tread machines , 4 of which are newly acquired for this season. Two are conventional and two with winch, all of them equipped with a GPS system for improved performance and efficiency as well as improved driver safety.

Snow production

Much of the facilities in Beret have been replaced to improve the quality of the snow produced. The new system allows to increase the production capacity thanks to the better use of cold hours and reduce energy consumption. Facilities have also been changed in the area of Vuelta a Casa on arrival at 1500 that allow greater snow production in a particularly busy area.

New Borda Lobato and Deli Baqueira gourmet store in 1500

The traditional Borda Lobato located next to the car park lot of 1500 has been reformed so that this winter its opening hours will be extended by opening at noon and also for après-ski . Its gastronomic offer will be centered on barbecues and Aranese cuisine. A new store, Deli Baqueira , will also open with gourmet products at the Forum, which will result in the good atmosphere of this area already substantially improved last season with the new Wine Bar by Viña Pomal and the Drinkery of the Hotel Montarto. With regard to restoration in tracks, improvements have been made in most establishments for better circulation and operation thereof.
