Balance of the December Bridge in Grandvalira

After facing the anticyclonic episode of recent days, the Grandvalira ski resort has closed the Bridge with a positive balance, opened up to 50 km of slopes ! A figure that has only been surpassed by Sierra Nevada.

Likewise, the entire team at the resort worked intensely to offer the best conditions on the first great snow event this season. Thanks to them, Grandvalira has managed to open and link by track the sectors of Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Encamp. The cannon team has also worked against the clock to keep the production of crop snow at full capacity.

On the other hand, the machine team has accumulated 460 hours of conditioning and stepping on the tracks , a figure to which we must add the snow transfers in trucks and helicopters. Snow production has reached 50% of the total of the previous season in the open sectors.

During these 5 days the resort has registered a total of 34,815 skiers , that is, an average of 6,963 per day. The day with the highest number of tracks was Friday with 10,919 skiers; This forced the poster to hang completely.

This great snow event has received skiers from Catalonia , southern France , Madrid , the Basque Country and Valencia .

In addition, it should be noted that during these days a free shuttle bus service between the different sectors has been made available to customers.
