Astún-Candanchú 100K opens on Saturday with up to 70 cm and 57 skiable km

Next Saturday the 3rd the season will begin, with which the 100K ski area gives the starting signal for this season.

This Saturday, December 3, at the gates of the December, the 2022-2023 snow season begins in the Aragón Valley with the opening of the Astún-Candanchú 100K.

As of December 3 , both stations will be permanently connected by a free shuttle service.

The 100K ski area has up to 102 slopes, 14 itineraries and 40 ski lifts with a transport capacity of 46,000 people per hour, will serve this 100-kilometre ski area.

The possibility of practicing a wide range of winter sports disciplines in an environment of highly varied orography is one of the attractions of the 100K project. Thus, alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing or biathlon, among other possibilities, can be carried out in the same space.

The snowpark , sledding areas, snow garden, Barambán (apreski on slopes) and a diverse and authentic gastronomic offer complement the peculiarities of the new 100K.

Activities for everyone in the Aragón Valley

Finally, the proximity to France and the towns of the Aragon Valley, particularly Jaca, heart of the Central Pyrenees, an important commercial and economic center and the first capital of the old Kingdom of Aragon, allow for a truly “round” apré-ski.

All kinds of events, national or international, take place at the ice rink. Figure skating on ice, curling or the national hockey league, are some of them, in addition to the possibility of becoming protagonists as practitioners in it.

Other variants without leaving the Valley will be golf, culture, territory, gastronomy and the hotel offer that make this destination something exclusive and differential in winter tourism in Spain and Europe.
