Aramón opens in the Pyrenees after the snowfall

The ski resorts of Formigal and Panticosa will open this weekend with more than 140 km skiable. In Cerler it will be possible to ski in all areas of the resort. The snowfalls have allowed to accumulate more than 170 cm of snow in Formigal-Panticosa.

The Aramón ski resorts in the Benasque Valley and the Tena Valley, which have been increasing the number of skiable kilometers in the last few days, hope that this cold front will allow them to open their slopes and lifts fully and continue the season with an exceptional quality and thickness of snow.

In fact, the Aramón Formigal-Panticosa Ski Pass will open this weekend with more than 140 kilometers and 121 slopes open, with Panticosa running almost in its entirety.

Cerler resort is expected to increase the number of skiable kilometers with the opening of all its areas: Castanesa, Ampriú and Cota 2000. With the ski lifts of Rincón del Cielo, Basibé and Castanesa, operational.

The snowfalls of the last days and the low temperatures have allowed to accumulate great snow thicknesses. Only in some points of Formigal or Panticosa, the snow thickness will reach 170 cm in some heights.

Sports events agenda Weekend in Aramon

January 21

The future Olympic Sprint will be held in Cerler in the Ampriu area. This event is organized by the Club Montañeros de Aragón and the Federación Aragonesa de Montañismo.

In Formigal the traditional Paco el maestro Trophy will be held. This race will take place in the Stadium Tres Hombres and the male and female categories of U1January 20 will be disputed.

January 22nd

In Aramón Cerler will be held the traditional Memorial del Recuerdo Chronoescalada from the base of the station at 1500 to Cogulla.

In Panticosa will be held the XI Trofeo Alevín Memorial Sergio Belío Comarca Alto Gállego . A race in the modality of Giant that will take place in the Stadium track, where the male and female categories of U12/U10 will be disputed.
