Vallter accumulates more than six metres of snow in a great winter FGC Turisme

The 2025-2026 winter season in the mountain resorts of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya is entering the history books. The constant rainfall since December has left accumulated snowfall rarely seen in the last 10 years, with figures exceeding six metres in Vallter and five in Boí Taüll. These data place some of the PIRINEU365 resorts among the five with more snow in Europe and in the first position in Spain.

This abundance of snow, coupled with favorable weather conditions, has brought a massive influx of visitors. The weekend of February 21 and 22 was a milestone never seen before: more than 42,000 people (Saturday 22,585 and Sunday 20,096) accessed the ski and mountain resorts of Grup FGC Turisme.

On Saturday, February 21, the historical record was broken with 22,585 skiers, far surpassing the previous record of 20,276 reached in 2023. As for the detail of each station, there are also historical records of skiers in a single day.

- La Molina: 8,564 on February 15.
- Boí Taüll: 4,123 on February 21, and
- Port Ainé: 3,368 on February 21.

So far this season, the barrier of 20,000 skiers per day has already been surpassed seven times, being the overall influx 20% higher than last year. Highlights of spectacular growth include
