This ski resort in the French Alps is considered one of the best resorts for all levels of skiing or snow. If you are a beginner, you are in luck, as you can take numerous free lifts throughout the domain, as well as a large area of green slopes. Exactly 21 green tracks located in the upper area of the ski areaat an altitude of more than 2,400 m, a difference that makes it stand out from the other resorts.

VAL D'ISERE

The ski resort of Val d'Isere is one of the best in the Alps and therefore in the whole world. This is a winter resort which appears at the World Top Ten. Furthermore Val d'Isere forms with Tignes the Espace Killy, one of the largest and most extensive ski resorts in the world.

The snow conditions in Val d'Isere are usually excellent in both quality and quantity. The slopes are north oriented and the fifty-four percent of them are between 2,200 and 2,900 meters.

Val is perfect proof that not all-ski out resorts are purpose-built concrete jungles. Val is a pretty old resort with mountains on both sides and deliciously speedy access to them. High tech lifts and top notch pistes serve the hamlets of La Daille and Le Fornet as well as the centre of Val d’Isere in-between (where you’ll find most ski schools, bars and restaurants).

LA PLAGNE

La Plagne is the collective name for a network of 11 interlinked ski villages that together form one of the biggest ski areas in the French Alps, and, linked with neighbouring Les Arcs as Paradiski, one of the most extensive lift-linked ski domains in the world.

It is one of the best ski-in ski-out resorts for families. Learners have plenty of options for ski school, and there’s all sorts of other snow fun to be had, including ziplining and exploring a grotto full of ice sculptures on the Bellecôte glacier.

La Plagne is also a great destination for mixed-ability groups and keen intermediates, offering plenty of tree lined runs and a good choice of mountain restaurants for lunch.

ZERMATT

Zermatt is a beautiful ski and snowboard resort located 1,620m in the Swiss Alps, this enchanting alpine village lies at the foot of the Matterhorn, Switzerland's most famous mountain.
