Both Grindelwald and Wengen are excellent ski areas for beginners. The best beginner ski areas are:
Männichen Ski Area
The beginner ski area here is for children and is called Männlichen Children’s Paradise. Here there’s a magic carpet and two “Pinocchio” lifts where the kids that have already skied before can gain some confidence before hitting the slopes.
Kleine Scheidegg Ski Area
This area is more suitable for adults or teenagers that have never skied before.
There’s also a beginners’ ski area in Wengen town centre and another one in Grindelwald town:
❄ The one in Wengen is called Figeler and it’s probably the best beginner ski area as it has different levels: there’s a kids area, a small flat hit great for adults and teenagers and there’s also a steeper hill that is great to get some practice done before hitting longer slopes.
❄ The one in Grindelwald is called Bodmi Arena and it’s perfect for complete beginners as the terrain is quite flat. Keep in mind that there isn’t always enough snow in this area and as it’s in the town, it’s usually quite crowded.
