Do you want to discover the Aragonese Pyrenees? One of the best places to discover these magical mountains is the Cerler ski resort, located in the heart of the Benasque Valley, a mecca for Spanish mountaineers and it's surrounded by more than 60 peaks that are over 3,000 metres of altitude, among these, stand out mountains like the Aneto, the Maladeta, the Posets or the Perdiguero, the highest peaks in the Pyrenees. Benasque is also known as the Spanish Chamonix.

Cerler has tracks and ski slopes for all levels: the base is located at 1,500 metres and there is a zone for beginners; The highest point is 2,630m from where you can see some magnificent views that will make you fall in love with Cerler and the rest of the area. The ski resort is divided into two sectors, Cerler and Ampriu. They have black pine landscapes and with different slopes for skiers and snowboarders.

Only 5 km from Benasque, the scenic beauty of the resort will make you feel in heaven. The Cerler ski resort is highly recommended for skiing.

Why ski in Cerler?

This Aragonese resort offers different activities for families and welcomes children with their Enchanted Forest, an interactive tour that runs through a forest of black pine with themed characters that will delight them. They will also find the Snowy Zone which is prepared with activities and skill circuits, during the whole week there is entertainment for children and all the members of the family.

Thus, Cerler is a family friendly resort, thanks to its activities, its 9 green tracks and 18 blue tracks to be able to slide down them and get them to know what skiing feels like. For the more experienced, there are 25 red tracks and 15 black tracks, ideal to overcome new challenges, and discover the entire Cerler ski area.

Another reason to choose this winter resort is that here, you will find the famous 9 km route, the longest skiing run in Spain, with a difference in altitude of 1,100m. The 9 km route starts at 2,360m with the Perdiz Blanca trail (blue track) that takes you to Colladeta, then, it continues turning through Camino de Sarrau (red). You will reach the 2,000 m height where you will have to continue along the Robellóns track (green), crossing the final part called Puntet Skity Area. Next, the route continues along Camino de Les Planes (blue) ending this super long descent on the Les Planes track (blue) which is located at 1,500 metres.

In addition, the Cerler ski resort has 19 lifts available, all modern and well located, with 6 conveyor belts, 4 ski lifts and 9 chairlifts. These are all distributed along the 77 km of tracks, and do not worry if there is not a lot of snow because they have 375 snow cannons to create artificial snow.

What services does Cerler offer?

Cerler has a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafés in each one of its sectors, to satisfy even the most demanding customers. You can find places that will take you back to the 50s or where you can have grilled food or barbecues.

If you travel to this Aragonese resort by car you can park at the Cerler Sector located at a height of 1,500 m, El Molino car park or in the Ampriu Sector car park. To leave your car at these car parks we recommend that you book your space and check the price in advance.

And if your intention is to take skiing or snowboarding lessons, Cerler has 9 ski schools available with more than 300 professionals who will help and advise you regarding your skiing technique.

Great dedication of the staff. They take good care of the client, in a friendly and interested way
Some slow lift. An exaggerated number of classes and these courses do not look at your situation on track. They stop anywhere and especially hinder a lot of passageways.

It shows that they invest for skiers with a lot of level.
It is a station that invests little in debutants, especially in Ampriu. It goes from a mini track with a tape to a pronounced green with drag. In Cota 200 there is nothing for debutatnes, not even a tape.

Too bad that in the lower part there was almost no snow. What causes many stones to come out that you have to avoid if you do not want to hit a ski or board

The resort is well managed and the use of chairlifts was much appreciated compared to drag lifts which can be exhausting. The runs are good and long and well maintained. The station was not overcrowded even in a holiday season
Range of food on offer was only average, more cafe and tapas type, whereas other Pyrenees resorts have better cafeterias. There were some unexpected ice patches in some of the runs, concealed by a thin dusting of artificially made snow that had us falling down; the final run down to the base car park was rather worn out, slushy and even a bit muddy. Although this is a function of the weather, it is unfortunate that the final descent is somewhat degraded.

Second time I come in less than a year and although it does not have the skiable domain that other stations have been in which I have been, its tracks seem spectacular to me, and its location makes it the most beautiful station in which I have skied.

I liked the atmosphere in the station and the possibility of eating inside the tracks due to the existence of restaurants in them.
I don't see it suitable for people who are starting in both skiing and snow. It has 97% of slopes designed for mid-advanced skiers. It has very few routes of green tracks so if you are several days you can get tired of the continuous repetition. Another of the negative aspects is the quality of the snow, since in absolutely all the tracks you were encountering numerous ice sheets, something that greatly complicates skiing for beginners as is my case. At the end of the day it was horrible because everything was ice, and on the sides large piles of loose snow. I see it very high.

Cercania, access, prices.
In front of the access they are building a new building. They have had the whole year to have it ready. It does not make much sense to have a concrete mixer and machinery maneuvering while accessing the station with a lack of personnel to avoid accidents.

A very familiar station, with a good atmosphere, big enough, and usually with pretty good snow
Some ski lifts are too old, not attachable chairs, which makes it first uncomfortable / dangerous for children to climb, and then it becomes eternal to climb those tracks, especially the red one of Cogulla, which on the other hand is one of the best.

The station already knew it and I have not taken surprises.
I did not like the fact that the Molino chair lift was closed. Nothing has to do with the amount of snow with the closure of this chairlift that has often served as a link without the track being open. The quality of the snow was bad but that is not attributable to the station, it has been a bad year and we are in the spring, but I do not understand the policy of closing this chairlift.
