Located at the base of the Jungfrau ski region in the Swiss Alps. The domain has heights ranging from 2,320 m to 944 m, and its privileged location offers panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau peaks.
The combination of a constantly improving chairlift system, spectacular train routes, extensive freeride options, incredible mountain restaurants and plenty of activities other than skiing make Grindelwald one of the best ski resorts in Switzerland.
Grindelwald has 155 km of slopes covered by a set of 33 increasingly modern chair lifts, allowing access to two varied areas.
The main runway area is shared with Wengen and offers a combination of some wooded tracks and much larger open tracks, all with speed chairlifts. The other smaller area is First, which is located primarily above the tree line, offering sunny slopes and great views, plus a cross-country ski area.
The extension of the resort makes it ideal for both intermediate and expert skiers: it has 42% blue slopes, 44% red slopes and 14% black slopes. In general, the slopes are quite affordable, but there is always a more challenging one, such as the "Lauberhorn World Cup Downhill" descent, which is the name given to the most difficult and longest cup descent in the world.
For those who practice snowboarding we have good news, as soon as the first snow falls, the Grindelwald-First Snowpark is built, made up of two parks with different degrees of difficulty.
