If you're planning your Andorra skiing holidays, Esquiades.com gives you the chance to go there and provides all the information related to the different ski resorts located in this country. Among them, there is the Vallnord Pal Arinsal ski resort, since the 2015-2016 season the resort offers their own ski pass. This Ski Pass can be used inside the 63 skiable kilometres. Below, there is all the useful information about the two ski resorts: Pal and Arinsal so you can choose the best option for your ski holiday.

Vallnord Pal Arinsal ski resort

The Vallnord Pal Arinsal ski resort has amazing sorroundings, and the access to the resort is located at an altitude of 1,550 metres (lowest point). Both sectors have their own features, that are the following:

The ski resort has 7 green slopes and 15 blue slopes for beginners. It also has 16 red slopes for people who love steep slopes and like to go as fast as possible. Furthermore, the resort also counts with 4 black ski slopes, ideal for experienced skiers. There are a total of 30 chairlifts that take visitors up to 2,560 metres of altitude, and then it is possible to enjoy skiing back down to the start of the ski slopes.

In Vallnord Pal Arinsal you will be able to find different services right inside the domain, such as bars and cafeterias, where it is possible to take a break, or have something to eat at one of the different restaurants. Inside the resort there are available 2 skiing and snowboarding schools with more than 200 qualified instructors. If you are going to ski with children, you can leave them at the snow gardens that are located in the main areas of the resort, where children can learn while they play with the snow. In any case, Esquiades.com recommends many alternatives and outdoor activities in Vallnord Pal Arinsal in order to make the most of your holidays.

If you have booked ski hire through Esquiades.com, you can pick-up the equipment at the ski shops located near the access points. Finally, note that Vallnord Pal Arinsal has free Wi-Fi inside the skiing domian.

Both sectors inside the Vallnord Pal Arinsal ski resort are connected by chairlifts and slopes.

Pal sector

Pal is the nearest sector to the capital of the country, Andorra la Vella. The Pal sector can be accessed by car or by using the cable-car located in La Massana, which will take you directly from the village to the ski slopes. Some hotels and apartments allow skiers to access the cable-car with your skiing boots on.

This ski resort has become the ideal place for families. The ski slopes are located in an area full of trees, that offers to ski in a beautiful area. In Pal there is the Pekepark, a snow garden where children can learn to ski while having lots of fun. Through Esquiades.com it is also possible to book ski lessons. All the instructors that work at the Pal ski resort are qualified to be able to teach skiing and snowboarding for children and adults.

The low mountain gradient of the slopes inside this ski resort are easy and intermediate level, and makes it a good option for beginners. It has special chairlifts for beginners and the slopes have a good difficulty progression, so it is possible to improve your level step by step and access steeper slopes at the end of the day.

Finally, note that at the Pal ski resort it is also possible to practice a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, booking snow jet skis, snowshoeing and mushing (sleigh pulled by dogs).

Arinsal sector

The Arinsal ski resort is located 5 kilometres from the village that has the same name. Access to the slopes can be done in your own car, by bus, taking the cable-car in La Massana and skiing to the Arinsal slopes or with the cable-car that is in the centre of the Arinsal village. This ski resort has one of the largest slopes in Andorra, with more than 1,000 metres of altitude difference between the top and bottom of the slope "Les Mirrades". It is also good to know that this slope also reaches Arinsal and can be accessed directly from some of the hotels located next to it.

Arinsal features slopes for skiers with a low, medium and high level, and especially for freeriders. Ski lovers will find the most steep slopes near the ski slope called "La Capa". It also has the Arinsal Snowpark with modules for all levels, even for those who are starting to practice this type of snowboarding and skiing.

In conclusion, the two sectors together form a complete tandem for everyone. Pal offers skiers the possibility to travel with their family and a place to enjoy skiing with children, and Arinsal offers more difficult slopes for more advanced skiers, and also gives the possibility to practice and improve tricks and skills.

The most convenient access is by road or by using the cable-car that links La Massana with the ski slopes. You can also access by road from the border between Andorra and Spain. For this, you have to follow the CG-1 (General Highway 1) to the capital, Andorra la Vella. At the end of the road, when you pass Pal, you are at the ski area, from where can access the slopes. Remember that you can also stay in La Massana and take the cable-car to access Pal. In addition, as it is connected to Arinsal, you can access both ski resorts from the same place.

If you want to know how to get to the Arinsal ski resort, we inform you that you must follow the same route to get to Pal from Erts. From there, you must pass the CG-4 (General Highway 4) to CG-5 (General Road 5) and the last 5 kilometres from Arinsal you will find the ski resort with the same name.

All
The gondola that Hotel Font communicates with tracks, excellent EXCEPT: Escalators from floor 0 to floor 1, but nonexistent from floor 1 to floor 2 ... Which makes no sense and it is very uncomfortable to climb stairs on foot with ski boots. .. As for the gondolas with advertising from a well-known hamburger chain, I think it's wrong, but even worse. TAPEN THE VIEW OF THE TELECAVINA WINDOWS. Finally, I missed the ticket office at the foot of the track to put money that then returns, or in any case, if they are paid, € 1 would be enough. Charge more seems excessive.

I liked it. I like the surroundings, the tracks are pretty among trees. It is accessed very well.
I did not like the quality of the snow very much, but you can not expect miracles either, since at the height of the season we were in there is what we have.

The station in general, very familiar and fun
Some teleratrack closed for no apparent reason and it seems that as it reaches the end of the season, the tracks are not working the same. In my opinion you have to work the tracks from the 1st day of opening to the last since that's what we pay for. Private classes for excessively expensive children. A part that do not begin in point and yet, if they end in point. As much as 50 minutes are done and for what they charge, you should respect at least the schedule, which is one hour of class

The snow was very hard in the morning and after a few hours it was too chopped by all the people who had passed by. Some lifts give you a good shot before you feel.

We already know the station and we have chosen it precisely for its "simple" tracks since part of the family are beginner and intermediate skiers. Also because the station usually has good weather conditions. The good thing is that the black track there is, there is almost no one ever and you can download several times a day. There are NO queues in the ski lifts and despite the heat they can keep 100% of the domain open. Yes, if you close the black track of the comellada and some red more, for an advanced skier is a very boring station on the slopes. Arinsal was also bad snow, apart from being a landscape much uglier than PAL. In general, for the trip we did, 8 people with different levels, we have had a great time.

The Pal-Arinsal station has an excellent staff and super attentive in all aspects. I always go in summer and I love to go with the children because it has many things to enjoy but I think that in winter it is also very adapted. Regarding the price of the ski pass is good, the food is varied and the spaces are wide.
That could have lengthened more the afternoon since it is very good time

We have always enjoyed a lot in Pal. A station, not very big, but complete, familiar and not very crowded
Another great year This year, I suppose due to the abnormal heat, the snow was not in very good condition, very loose and very crowded, causing many injuries. Maybe some clues should have been fixed more or even closed

In general, all good. Good track maintenance despite the little snowfall in recent weeks.
Only, that they close the runway to the hotels a little before the closing time of the slopes and you have to get off at the chairlifts.

The tracks are very wide. A blast for beginners and because you have space to ski and not agglomerate.
They stole my ski poles and my traveling companion the day before.
