Apart from skiing in Grandvalira, you can also practice other outdoor activities. So, if you like walking in the mountains, there are four circuits for you to walk using snowshoes. This activity is perfect for you to feel even closer to nature. If you do not feel like walking, you can also go on a snow jet ski ride, or enjoy dog sledding. This activity is called mushing.

There are many ways to get to Grandvalira. You can do it by car, coach or plane as you can fly to Girona Airport, located two and a half hours from Andorra.
There are 6 access points into Grandvalira. All of them are located along the main road (Carretera General 2 CG 2). The most common means of transport to get to Andorra from Spain is by car or coach.
To access Grandvalira from the South, you can do it through La Seu d'Urgell, in Catalonia, and follow the N-145 to the border to Andorra. Once there, you have to continue on Carretera General 1 (CG-1) (General Highway) towards the capital; Andorra la Vella. When you pass the capital, you can continue on Carretera General 2 (CG-2) to the first access to Grandvalira, which is Encamp. If you continue along the same road you will get to El Canillo. About 7 kilometres further up, you will find El Tarter and if you go 2,5 kilometres further up the Carretera General 2 (CG-2), you will get to Soldeu. After Soldeu, there's a junction to Grau Roig. And finally, at the end of the CG-2 that borders with France, there is Pas de la Casa.
If you are coming from France, you can get there through Pas de la Casa on the RN20 road. You can also reach Grandvalira through the Envalira tunnel where you will find the access to Grau Roig. If you continue down CG2, you will get to the other sectors. Read more

Nurseries in Grandvalira
In Grandvalira there are 4 nurseries located in Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu and Grau Roig. They only accept children that are 2 or more. Children who are between 12 and 24 months old can go to the nursery located in Grau Roig. All nurseries in Grandvalira count with qualified carers that will be with the children all the time protected from the cold, comfortable and equipped to be able to let them play and have fun while you enjoy your day skiing. Children who are inside or playing with the snow will not be able to take skiing lessons. Remember to bring comfortable clothes and if necessary a change.
