If you are an alpine ski lover and you are looking for options to live a unique New Year's Eve, what do you think of a ski getaway at the end of the year in Masella? Inaugurated in 1967, Masella resort opens its doors on the northern slope of La Tosa, south of the Baixa Cerdanya region. Specifically, it is located between the municipalities of Das, where the western part of the resort is located, Coma Oriola (1,950 m) —which is the car park lot and the point of sale of ski passes—, and of Alp, where Locate the Coma Pregona area. Here one of the most emblematic tracks of the resort and the main service center await you.

The layout of this ski resort in the Catalan Pyrenees is rather vertical, vertebrate by the peak of Cap del Bosc (2,150 m) and the ridge that joins it to the top of the Tosa. If your plan is to vibrate with skiing at the end of the year in Masella, you can glide through 74 km of high quality snow, distributed on 64 tracks of all levels. In your hands - or under your skis! -, you have 9 green, 24 blue, 22 red and 9 black tracks. To reach them, skiers have 18 ski lifts.

Do you want something different for your trip to the snow? If so, you will love to know that, since the 2013-2014 winter season, Masella is one of the few Pyrenean resorts that offer the possibility of night skiing.

On the other hand, we must not lose sight of the fact that, together with the La Molina resort, Masella forms the ski domain of Alp 2500 . Using the joint ski pass of both resorts, you will have 128 km of tracks at your fingertips, from the westernmost part of Masella to the easternmost part of La Molina, in the Pla d'Anyella. Can you imagine it?

By the way: if you want to take advantage of your après-ski time for sightseeing, the Baixa Cerdanya has towns of great beauty, such as Puigcerdà or Bellver de Cerdanya , where the romantic writer Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer stayed.
