This French Alps resort is built on a natural balcony where the view covers the entire Central Valley of Ubaye, during the years the Pra Loup ski resort has not stopped spreading.

It is located at 1,600 m altitude in the Southern Alps of Haute Provence and has integrated into its domain the village of Molanès (Pra Loup 1500) at 1,500 m altitude. Speaking of his domain, it is worth noting the majestic Grande Séolane that allows skiers and snowboarders to ascend up to 2,500 m.

Did you know that together with the Val d'Allos-La Foux they make the most extensive skiing domain in the south of the French Alps? This union is called as Espace Lumière. Why go skiing to Pra Loup?

This winter resort, Pra Loup and Val D'allos-La Foux, offers you 180 km of skiing in a wonderful area located just over two hours drive from the city of Marseille. A resort frequented by a family member from the French Riviera and by young Italians who find this ideal ski destination thanks to its apres-ski.

Of the 180 km of ski areas, 100 are in the Pra Loup area and are distributed in about 40 descents of all levels: from wide slopes on relatively flat slopes to very steep sections at great heights.

To quickly access the center of all the tracks we recommend you to take a cable car that is located in Molanes or, you have two other cable cars in Pra Loup 1600. In addition, at the arrival point of the Molanes and Costebelle cable car you will find the area for beginners, ideal for those skiers who want to start learning right away. On the other hand, there is another debutant zone right at the end of Pra Loup 1600 and it has its own drag, the Sorbiers.

For freeride fans, the slopes of the Tête de Setrière and the Tête de Vescal are a fantasy. Both peaks also connect with the Val d'Allos ski area. And the only way to get there from the slopes of Pra Loup is through the long red Quartiers track that starts at the Le Lac peak, 2500 meters high.

And for those who like freestyle? The Pra Loup ski resort has more than 40 hectares called “rider space”, the best known area is the Fun Park with halfpipe that is next to the Bergeries chairlift and the five boardercross areas distributed throughout the territory of the slopes.

On the other hand, snowboard lovers will love the South-Park, next to the Aiguille chairlift, with several rails, boxes, tables and whoops, as well as a slopestyle area; the riderpark in the area of La Roche and the track of Fees where you can find many potholes and jumps .; and the third funpark and 5 other boardercross found in the Pra Loup area.

Finally, if you travel with children you will like to know that in the center of Pra Loup 1600 there is a roundabout and a recreational park in which it involves climbing platforms located between the treetops. For those who prefer triplets, there are 3 tracks just for it. The "normal" and the track for children under six who are in Pra Loup 1600 and a third track that is in Pra Loup 1500, at the exit of the Molanes cable car.
