Conditions of the ski slopes 
Resort Closed
The ski resort is located in Astun, in the Spanish Pyrenees, particularly in the Aragon Valley. This winter resort has a strategic location as it is at the center of what could be the largest snowfield in the peninsula if we were to join the three ski resorts of Formigal, Astun and Candanchu. There is plenty of slopes in Astun and for all levels.
Customers must pay at the Ticket Office 3€ per person in order to collect their ski pass. This amount will be refunded once the customer returns the ski pass at the correspoding Tikcet Office on the last day.
Children aged 0 to 5 years (included) have the ski pass for free however, you must pay a deposit of 3€ at the Ticket Office. (In order to collect the ski pass, you must first show the children's documentation). Also, a day ski pass + insurance + meal ticket for children has a a cost per child (from 0 to 5 years) of 12€.

According to Astún's Ski Resort company policy, if the resort has to close (due to unforseen circumstances) they shall not proceed to refund the corresponding amount of the refund.

Había poca gente y era más agradable y tranquilo esquiar. Mucha variedad de pistas y bastante largas.
Enlaces entre sectores malos. Cerraban pronto. Muchas perchas que para principiantes snowboarders son muy complicadas.

Pocas colas en los remontes
Pistas mal pisadas el dia 6 abril. Para el dia 7 se arreglo (gran diferencia). La percha de Sarrio arranca muy fuerte. En fin de semana no habia restaurante abierto arriba, solo los de la ase de Astun.

Los baños están muy limpios, la cantidad y el estado de la nieve con solo 5 nevadas en enero es excelente. El servicio de guagua está muy bien pensado. La inclinación de las pistas es lo que más me gusta de Astun. Hacia 3 años que no esquiaba en Astun y me ha sorprendido la cantidad de itinerarios que hay.
El parking debería estar asfaltado. La mayoría de remontes son antiguos pero no me parece algo negativo para el tamaño de la estacion.
The bathrooms are very clean, the amount and condition of the snow with only 5 snowfalls in January is excellent. The bus service is very well thought out. The inclination of the tracks is what I like most about Astun. For 3 years I did not ski in Astun and I was surprised by the number of itineraries.
The parking should be paved. Most ski lifts are old but I do not think it's a negative for the size of the station.

Por lo menos para snowboarders Astún es bastante más divertido, puedes ir encontrando mas saltos en las pistas y la nieve estaba bastante mejor teniendo en cuenta que este año ha sido un poco raro y no ha nevado demasiado.
Las pistas por lo general tenían la nieve bastante dura pero es normal con ellas pocas nevadas que hemos tenido este año, así estarán casi todas las estaciones ahora mismo.

Como yonqui del freeride lo paso genial en las dos estaciones, lastima que este año no habia mucho nieve.
Ya puedes madrugar si no quieres dejar el coche a 2 km de la estación.

Para mi gusto mucho mejor Candanchú que Astún. Son estaciones pequeñitas que se pueden hacer en un día y que te permiten disfrutarlas mucho y elegir los recorridos que más te gusten.

Falta de señalización en pistas, límites de las mismas, indicaciones de por donde continúa la pista ya que con niebla es muy difícil continuar el descenso si no conoces la estación.

Si tienes buen nivel de esquí, recomiendo recorren un dia Candanchu y otro Astún.
Excelente personal de pista y remontes.
Falta algo de inversión en las estaciones, si vas con alguien que necesite alquiler de equipo en Candanchú, piensa donde alquilar, en el edificio grande, donde están las oficinas y escuelas el material da pena...

La estación es estupenda para familias con niños pequeños y los monitores de 10.
- Ya teníamos reservado y pagado unos monitores determinados y la escuela los cambió sin darnos ninguna explicación.
- Cada día tuvimos un monitor distinto, lo bueno es que los profes eran muy agradables y tenían mucha paciencia.
- Falta de personal en las oficinas de la escuela, sólo estaba una persona atendiendo todo, no me extraña q el pobre estuviese saturado: atendiendo a los clientes, las llamadas de los monitores....
- Ahora entiendo porque despues de enviar varios emails y llamadas telefónicas durante todo el mes de febrero y a distintas horas de la mañana no nos cogieran el teléfono ni contestaran los emails. Creo que por el importe de las clases particulares podían tener más personal y dar un mayor servicio de calidad.

Ambas estaciones son espectaculares y muy variadas. Fue un gran acierto unificar el forfait. Los remonteros de 10
Poca nieve,muchas piedras, parking mal organizado. Las pistas estaban pisadas con mala leche, vergonzoso los escalones y agujeros en candanchú. No vi ni a un solo pistero en 4 dias señalizando piedras o retirando las más grandes del medio de la pista. A decir verdad, no vi a ningún pistero.
El precio del forfait me parece un atraco dado el cuidado que tenían las pistas.
La última nevada fue hace casi un mes pero había suficiente nieve como para tratarla mejor.
Las taquillas de candanchú son muy muy muy lentas.
Es una falta de respeto continua a sus clientes.
Astún algo mejor pero tampoco se libra de algunos problemas.

Venden un forfait conjunto pero las conexiones entre ambas estaciones son un despropósito. Hasta el punto de que los fines de semana hay menos servicios que a diario. La información respecto a los autobuses y su frecuencia es muy deficiente. Creo que si no pueden garantizar una buena conexión, no deberían ofrecer un forfait conjunto.

Nos gan gustado más las pistas de Astún. El chico que nos atendió en Las Marmotas para alquilar los equipos ha sido un ejemplo de profesionalidad y amabilidad.
El restaurante La moleta de astún tiene una comida espectacular, pero el servicioes muy lento. Tuve que pedir a 3 camareros diferentes unos sobres de salsa para acompañar y el aliño de ensalada ni me lo llevaron después de pedirlo.
We liked the Astún tracks more. The guy who took care of us in Las Marmotas to rent the equipment has been an example of professionalism and kindness.
The restaurant La Mullet de Astun has a spectacular meal, but the service is very slow. I had to ask 3 different waiters for some sachets of sauce to accompany and the salad dressing or they took it after ordering it.

En Astun todo genial. En Candanchu esperamos una cola de 2h para coger el forfait cuando lo teníamos ya comprado por Esquiades. Una trabajadora de la estación, después de explicarle que ya teníamos el forfait comprado con Esquiades, nos dijo que nos pusiésemos en una cola y tras 2h de espera (de 9:15 a 11:15) llegamos a ventanilla y nos dicen que ahí no nos pueden dar el forfait. Que teníamos que haber ido a otro sitio donde no había cola y nos lo daban directamente. Una VERGÜENZA. La organización de la zona de la taquilla LAMENTABLE.

He estado solo en Candanchú. Las pistas tienen un paisaje espectacular y la nieve pese a lo complejo de la temporada estaba aceptable.
Una de las principales ventajas es que entre semana no hay colas en ningún telesilla.
La señalización de las pistas es deficiente, las pistas tienen unas infraestructuras algo antiguas y el personal da un poco la impresión de estar desbordados. Los palos q separan las pistas son un peligro y no valen para nada sin una red, sobre todo puestos después de una placa de hielo sin señalizar, tengo todavía el morado en el pecho de uno de los palos.
Dudo que repita en esta estación.

El paisaje y la estacion es de las mas bonitas de España
Los telesillas son muy antiguos y de pocas plazas, por lo que van lentos. En fin de semana se tarda mas de una hora en subir a la estacion y el parking se queda pequeño, ademas el de Astun le falta arrerglarlo; por lo menos asfaltarlo

Si están habilitadas las sillas todo es fabuloso. Muchas pistas para todos los niveles. Paisaje imponente. Servicios de rescate muy atentos y amables. Lamentablemente para nostros, conocimos el buen trato de la enfermería.
Nos tocó una gran tormenta y no sentimos ninguna colaboración para salir de ahí. Cortaron rutas y salvese quien pueda. Nadie del centro mostró interés en ayudar. Bajamos tres kilómetros esquiando por la carretera, casi sin visibilidad. Nos rescató un particular. Si las sillas no abren, esquiar en Candanchu es absurdo.
If chairs are enabled everything is fabulous. Many tracks for all levels. Stunning landscape. Rescue services very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately for us, we knew the good treatment of nursing.
We had a great storm and we did not feel any collaboration to get out of there. They cut routes and save who can. Nobody from the center showed interest in helping. We went down three kilometers skiing on the road, almost without visibility. We were rescued by an individual. If the chairs do not open, skiing in Candanchu is absurd.

Mejor astun que Candanchu. Candanchu está bien para aprender a esquiar, cuando ya sabes, las pistas de astun son más chulas

Buenos remontes desembragables en la base de Astun
Después de esperar 45 min en la taquilla de Tobazo en candanchu, la persona que me atiende me dice que no me puede dar los ff porque al estar comprados en agencia tengo que dirigirme a la taquilla de grupos en el centro. Después de insistir y explicar el tiempo de espera en la cola sin que tengan ninguna indicación visible al respecto del tipo de reserva y dónde recoger los ff consigo que me los entreguen y resulta que todo el problema es que las personas que atendían en ese momento no sabían cómo hacerlo, tras varias explicaciones telefónicas consiguen darme los 4 ff.
El lunes Astun cerrado y Candanchu solo abre la zona de seguridad que consiste en 6 telearrastres en la pradera de iniciación, ese día el ff lo vendían a 24€ frente a los 43€ de un día normal, pedimos que nos dieran una compensación o que nos cambiasen los ff para otro día y la respuesta fue que no, que pudiésemos una reclamación si queríamos. Es una pena que te traten de esa manera, así resulta difícil fidelizar al cliente. Me siento decepcionado y en parte estafado por la estación de Candanchu.

Candanchu muy bien.
En astun:no se puede abrir una estacion de esqui, y cobrar unos forfeits en las que las pistas estan anegadas de nieve sin pisar, totalmente bacheadas de otros dias con temporal incluido, tenian que haber sido previsiores, y poner en marcha las pisanieves la noche anterior o por la mañana temprano antes de la llegada de la gente a la estación, hemos pagado por un servicio no dado
