Perfect location, clean modern room !!

Walls are so thin from footsteps to very loud rowdy school groups you could not even begin to try sleeping before 11:30pm !! Only complaint the noise was consistently unacceptable for the duration of the stay.

The rooms were too warm during the night even with the windows open. The food was cold in particular the breakfast could have done with a microwave. Choice of children’s food in the evening was non existent.

The food buffet was awsome! The breakfast had fresh oringe juice machine, which is very rare even fi 4-star hotels. Dinner was also very various and good quality. They change the towels EVERY day. The location is right next to the main bus stop, so it’s convenient to use the shuttle from the airport!

There is no ventilation in the room and bathroom, so the moist and smell from the bathroom goes to the room, which is not nice. The walls are pretty thin, so it gets really noisy in the evening, it is not suited for light-sleepers. There aren’t enough electric outlets in the room. It is very dark in the room, the lights are all different. The staff don’t speak English, only French and Spanish, but we managed somehow. Otherwise it was okay.

We have stayed a couple of time before at this hotel so was excited to be returningsp, esecially for the delicious food that we had eaten on our previous stays. However this time we were really disappointed with the evening meals in the Louis restaurant. The steaks were tough, the salmon was boring and the seafood risotto lacked taste. Also not sure where the pesto was on in the pesto pasta. We decided to eat in the buffet at the Princess Parc as we were so disappointed. We had gormet lunch up the mountain almost every day and this food was superior to the Diana Parc. Great shame as we will think twice about returning.

Very disappointed with the evening meals in the Louis restaurant.

Staff very kind and professional. Hotel very clean. Hotel very near the gondel to snowboard area, ice skating rink just across the road. Daily in the afternoon mulled wine available at reception area where you can enjoy it by the fire place.

To store your equipment there was a room instead of lockers. Unfortunately not enough for all guests. Buffet area to small for the amount of guests, more than once there was no table for me available. Had to wait a while. Internet intermitted and some days not available at all.

Staff are excellent, very friendly. The porters helping with lockers & parking, a very busy check-in desk was managed very professionally. Nicolas on Guest Relations exceptional as always. The bar & breakfast staff friendly, professional and cordial. Not to forget the drivers - very helpful, a great service.

Wifi network was having an issue that week - it was explained that is not the norm. If I had business calls, I'm not sure what I would have done. I was a little unlucky in my room allocation (225) - both the family rooms were past my room, so I got to sleep when the last child went to bed. Also, the fire door threshold (2) was out side my door, so every case / trolley that rolled over it made a noise - not ideal.

Parking at €15pn is inexcusable. There were also 3 large school parties. They were generallly well behaved and well controlled by their teachers and hotel staff. It made the hotel and restaurant a bit noisy and rowdy at times though . Wasn’t a major problem for us as the pros of this place far outweighed any minor issues - but might be an issue for others

Our room (Junior suite) was spacious with lots of storage. It was perfect for our family of four. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Especially the concierge, and the general manager. They were always checking that we were happy and had everything we needed. The food was varied and tasty. There was definitely something for everyone. The beef dishes were a highlight for us.

The bathrooms were old and tired, and could definitely do with a refurb. The room was very hot, we couldn’t cool it down with the aircon as it seemed stuck on heating mode. We had to open the window to cool down the room, which resulted in very noisy nights. The food was sometimes not hot enough. It sometimes felt as if there was a shortage of trained staff in the bar/dining area.

The hotel and staff were outstanding. The skiing and general treatment on the mountain was great.

My friend broke his pelvis and had to go to hospital in La Vella. He was treated terribly by the staff there and there was a constant sense of hostility to him throughout his stay and to us when we visited. It felt like this was because we are British and unfortunately cannot speak Catalan or Spanish which I accept is our fault and ignorant but does not warrant being treated badly at the time you most desperately need to be treated humanely. I will officially complain to the hospital.
