You will instantly feel part of the community.

Now, if you’re into going down some intense and challenging runs, then you should definitely visit Ordino-Arcalís. There are some green runs but this resort is ideal for expert skiers.

Is Andorra good for beginners?

If you want our professional opinion, if you're travelling with beginners, then you should either book the ski pass for Grandvalira and book a hotel in Soldeu or El Tarter as these resorts are most suited for beginners and you’ll find excellent programmes in both areas.

Another resort which is also very good for beginners and family skiing holidays is Pal-Arinsal. As we have mentioned, you will be able to walk to the slopes and there’s a good balance between beginner slopes and intermediate/expert ones, to suit everyone in the family.

Where do you fly if you’re skiing in Andorra?

Fantastic large ski area spread over multiple valleys

Lots of blue runs and some red and black to meet different levels.

Extended routes, great if you are starting with skiing as you can cover large distances on blue routes that are very doable after a few days of training. The safety aspect was also great, I witnessed an accident and the medical crew came, assessed and evacuated the lady within 15-20 minutes from when it happened. Very good infrastructure. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the surrunding areas. Good public and private transport connecting the different resorts and allowing access to a large variety of slopes.

Good snow, good range of challenge on the slopes, free WiFi in areas (especially good as Andorra is outside the EU and so roaming wasn't free with my phone). Sunny terrace areas to have lunch or a drink.

Great resort with a huge variety of slopes to cover all levels of ski/biarders. Great access to all areas by a variety of lifts. Ski lessons way to book.
